I’ve worked hard for these results. I wish I could say it’s been a piece of cake 🍰 but it hasn’t. These results are due to not giving up regardless of how many times I fall💪

You guys know I struggle, I fall off the wagon, eat things I shouldn’t, give in to temptation, but no matter what I get back up and give it another try 👏

I’ve lost a total of 124 lbs though diet and exercise. I’ve had my ups and downs throughout my weight loss journey. I will say that the struggle has been 💯 worth it, but not easy.

It’s not impossible. If I can make this change, trust me, you can too! You need to set your goals, get your mind straight and don’t stop until you’re proud🙌

I know my journey isn’t the best example, but I’m glad it’s helpful 😘

  • This week's grocery haul is super simple, but I thought I would share it anyway. I picked everything up from Harris Teeter (Kroger). 🛒

  • This morning I woke after an awful night's sleep 😴 So I made the decision to delay my workout until a bit later. 
I've got a plan for the next 3 weeks and I'm not going to be derailed. However, sometimes you have to take detours. This morning instead of exercising first thing I decided to eat a healthy nutritious breakfast 🍳🍞 drink my daily dose of dense nutrition 🥤AND enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee ☕

That means I will feel a bit more awake and energised so I CAN get my workout in. 
And then I'm going to take a nap 😂😂😂

  • En we zijn alweer 3 weken onderweg met het Sonja bakker boek!
Vandaag start ik met week 4 van het boek, Bella Italia!🇮🇹
Met trots kan ik zeggen dat er nu 4.1 kg van af is en met dit resultaat gaan we volop gemotiveerd door met week 4!

    Vandaag start ik met week 4 van het boek, Bella Italia!🇮🇹
    Met trots kan ik zeggen dat er nu 4.1 kg van af is en met dit resultaat gaan we volop gemotiveerd door met week 4!

  • Throwback naar mijn favoriete drankje in Indonesië. Dit was zo een heerlijke dorstlesser. Een verse kokosnoot waarbij je eerst alle sap opdrinkt en daarna alle vruchtvlees op eet, heerlijk!

Ook mis ik de temperatuur wel een beetje, van mij mag het hier wel weer wat warmer worden hier! 
Anyway, wat zou het heerlijk zijn om weer van zo'n mooi uitzicht te kunnen genieten met een verse kokosnoot!

  • 23&24/100 - Total body badass first and then core inferno. Still feeling under the weather but modified as needed and kept pushing forward. Now time for some Tylenol and bed. 🤧 loving the doubles calendar so far. The workouts go perfectly together. I wish I would have doubled from day 1!

Are you able to lose fat, but not lose weight?⁠

YES!!! It may sound really weird, but it is possible to get thin and lose inches without seeing a change in the scale numbers.  This is why when you are exercising properly and eating right, it's important not to judge your achievements by the scale alone.⁠
⁠
Instead, consider how you look, how you feel, how your clothes are fitting, etc.  When you lose body FAT you gain muscle so your weight might stay the same even as you lose inches!⁠

Important Notes About The Scale:⁠
⁠
1- It measures everything!  Your scale can't differentiate between fat, bones, water, muscle, etc.  Because of that, the numbers on your scale can be deceptive.⁠
⁠
2- It does NOT reflect the changes in your body.  If you're doing weight training, cardio or strength training, you may be building lean muscle, while also losing fat.  Because of this, the scale might stay the same or about the same but you could still be getting healthier, slimmer and leaner.⁠
⁠
3- It's not always a positive motivator:  This is especially true for people that don't know the difference between weight loss vs fat loss.  They might step on the scale once a week for a month and see the same old numbers and think about how bad of a job they are doing, or how they STILL weigh the same, or they might even wonder why they should continue. ⁠
⁠
Don't focus on the scale and the numbers.  Focus on how you feel, your energy levels, how much MORE you can do now than before (longer exercise periods, being able to go up steps without your heart racing uncontrollably, etc), pay attention to how much looser your clothes are getting.⁠

For example, I have only lost about 15.5lbs.  But, I feel amazing, my clothes are so much looser and even people I haven't seen in a few months are complimenting how AMAZING I look!⁠

  • Very excited to share this #nonscalevictory !! I have always wanted to wear a flannel shirt buttoned up, which might sound like such a small thing to some. It’s always been a goal of mine to do, but to do confidently. They’ve never looked right, gapping somewhere or needing to leave the lower buttons undone. Today I wore this to uni, all day! Very comfortably and happily so. That’s all, just feeling pretty pleased ☺️ I hope your personal journey is going wonderfully. Never give up! —————

  • I know I should be pleased with this because it is still a loss, but honestly I'm a bit disappointed it isn't more...
.
But I got my first "you've lost weight" comment this weekend and I'm going to take the non-scale victory, and the fact my clothes are fitting better into account.
.
And it is still 2lbs.
.
And I'm down 10lbs in total, in 5 weeks.
.
I'll try and stay positive for now 😂
