1 tasse d’abricots séchés

1. Placer tout les ingrédients dans un robot culinaire. Mélanger jusqu’à consistance d’une pâte.

This past week has been CRAZY busy. I had no idea Easter was this past Sunday and I have a wedding this weekend that I legitimately thought was three weeks away. Needless to say I had to sit down with my planner and think long and hard about what I’ve been doing lately that’s made me so busy that I forgot about Easter, a wedding, AND a doctor appointment. I had to step out of my comfort zone big time and drop the bomb to both families I work for to tell them I’ll be gone for a week (with pretty much only a weeks notice)- for anyone that’s anxiety invoking I think but for me I start thinking the worst- that I’m going to be fired- and so within that I become extremely timid and withdrawn from my job.
Of course I didn’t get fired, of course the families were a little upset with me but they also understood because I am HUMAN. I make mistakes. I’m flawed beyond belief. I get behind on things without realizing it- you get the point.
A few days ago I wrote down my entire schedule for May and June and BOY is it FREAKIN BUSY- but In that schedule I made sure to also write down “me time” even though it’s something I’ve only scheduled between me, myself, and I.
I realized though, that for me, that’s so important. In my daily life I’m so used to just doing things for myself on occasion, it’s never something I plan out because I don’t feel the need to- I think to myself” if I cancel on me I’m not letting anyone down”, but that’s completely false- I’m letting myself down. I’m letting other things and people come before me but if I can’t take care of myself am I truly capable to take care of others? If my cup is empty what do I have to offer? Nothing.
This past week I had nothing to offer because I wasn’t giving myself the love and time I deserve. I was running around doing everything for everyone else.
So, here’s to a new week, because last week is old news and I don’t have to let my flaws bring me down, rather I have to accept them and what happened, and learn from it. Here’s to Monday and getting a workout in even though I’m dead tired. Here’s to a busy week filled with 10 hr work days, lots of time spent in airports, and wedding festivities, and LOTS of me time!

I started tracking again.
After my cleanse, well before I even finished my cleanse, I decided to track what I eat. I was so happy with my results of my cleanse that I didn’t want to revert back to the start weight.
So tracking has good and bad sides. The good side is that it gives you the ability to focus on your calories, fats, protein, carbs, etc., no matter what goal you want. I want to track so I can see what I do eat if it is better or worst for me as I progress each day. And gives me the chance to prepare meals when I can use the app to track. The bad side is that it can turn into an obsession. And yes I’ve been there. I’ve got to the point where I would consistently trying to change everything. From my macros, to what I was going to eat, serving sizes, etc.
I decided to start tracking again because I need something to get me back on track with my nutrition. And today was the first day I did it. Plus I finally got to eat some food! Healthy food though ☺️. Fueling my body instead of just feeding the cravings is key. There is a good chance I probably won’t track later on, but it’s just a point for me where I need to do this again to really push my nutrition as a number 1 priority. I have fitness down (and can push more). They say 20% is exercise and 80% is nutrition. If I can’t get my nutrition to where I need it to be, then I would be stuck.
As I’m taking these pictures of myself and my body, I am beyond proud of where it is at! I keep saying I still have a long way, but I love where I’m at. If I can’t love where I’m at, then I start to get in my own head. And when I get in my own head, I want to quit. I’ve come so far, why would I quit now?!
Trust your journey. Wherever you are and whatever you have to do, just trust it. Obviously do it in a healthy way lol, but believe your journey and you’ll go far!
