We count ourselves very lucky indeed to have an Avoca store and café at Malahide Castle. The stunning castle dates from the 12th century, and it's set in 260 acres of beautiful parkland. Have you paid us a visit there yet? Thanks to @muno.explore for the fab shot!
Sappy post warning ⚠️: I have to give this guy a shoutout for being my knight in shining armor! (Get it? We are by a castle 😂).
The past couple days I have been progressively sick, from accidentally eating gluten to my tonsils being inflamed from being exposed to mold at the old hotel. Tim has made sure to get me everything I need and force me to do the things I need to but don’t want to start feeling better. .
Tim, thank you for everything you do for me and helping me out in the times I need it most. I love you!.

Malahide Castle in Dublin, Ireland. The first in my quest to see and photograph as many castles as I could manage during a very long solo backpacking trip through Europe/The UK. This is the only good photo I got due to going through a travelers worst nightmare at the time. My best friend of a decade passed away suddenly and tragically while I was thousands of miles away of from home. This was taken a few days after the horrible news, and my face was too swollen and puffy from non stop crying to put on any makeup or take photos. As hard as it was to get out of bed, I knew he would want me to continue on my journey. If he is with me, then he can see the world through my eyes too. @pallasnox I’ll never forget when you asked me to be your princess, how I wish that I said yes. Our love was star crossed, but
unconditional and constant nonetheless. Life was seeming more like a nightmare than a fairytale, yet here I was standing in front of a gorgeous real life castle. Losing you immediately made the world feel so dark, ugly and hopeless. Like it was drained of all color and light. This magical sight put a smile on my face for at least a few seconds that day, a rarity in the year to come since your death. It was a nice reminder that beauty does exist in this world, after all, it made you. 💖
