I sent my kiddo off to college this weekend, and it was SO hard 😩! But, I know he’s got such a great future ahead and is going to have such amazing adventures in his life!! ————————————————————————
I’ve had some of you reach out and ask me how I could have such an old kiddo- well, I had him when I was 22 (I was on the fast track to motherhood 😂)and will send my youngest off to college in 2 more years.  This means I’ll be 42 with kids out of the house!! You know what this means?  It means, I ALSO have new adventures awaiting me.  This quote applies to me too!  And, you better bet there’s going to be a lot of running goals crushed and running trips coming up!! ————————————————————————

  • I just come back from a rainy 47km run ☔ 💪 - it's the end of a really good 180km week! 😀 Now I really need some easy days to recover.. What are you doing to optimize your RECOVERY? 🤔
💆‍♂️🛀🛌 (Werbung) Im Moment läuft das Training nahezu optimal. Die Kerneinheiten wie am Sonntag der 37er mit den letzten 5km Beschleunigung  in 16:58min oder das Programm am Mittwoch (19km gesteigert und danach 6 mal 1000m im 3:15min Tempo) konnte ich nahezu perfekt umsetzen und die Umfänge mit sind auch für mich außergewöhnlich hoch. Da bekommt die Regeneration eine noch höhere Bedeutung als sonst! Ausreichend Schlaf (leichter gesagt, als getan 😀) , ausgewogene Ernährung und regelmäßige Physio sollten da eher das  Standardprogramm sein. Seit einiger Zeit vertraue ich zudem auf "Wobenzym Sport" als natürliche Regenerationshilfe. Die Versorgung mit Mikronährstoffen ist vorallem in solchen extremen Trainingphasen wichtig, um Verletzungen zu vermeiden und Übertraining aus dem Weg zu gehen. Ich fühle mich seit Wochen, trotz der hohen Trainingsbelastung, top fit und auch meine Beine sind sehr selten müde 💪 Noch 3 Wochen bis zum Münster Marathon!

This race a couple weeks ago left me in the medic tent for about 40 minutes with severe cramping. I spent the following week recovering with cross training and no running. No running. I actually listened, too. Funny thing is, my second love, yoga, took me down with a strained hamstring. So bye, bye 15 weeks of dreaming and training. Bye,bye #eriemarathon. Honestly, I’m a little bit at a loss. But I ALWAYS believe in everything happens for a reason. So I’m going to hit that reset button, and I’m going to look at this face day after day and hold on to that feeling of digging deeper and believing in what I KNOW is possible. —— The bright side for everyone else?? You’re probably going to see a lot more cakes! Thanks for letting me rant...💚 And #eyesforward always. #BeMonumental —/:/-/:

figured you might be sick of seeing my silly selfies blowin’ up your feed, so I am mixing it up with a food photo! this is my nutrient-packed dinner tonight: Immune-Boost Smoothie from @shalaneflanagan & @elysekopecky New York Times Bestseller, Run Fast, Cook Fast, Eat Slow. if you don’t know who they are, well you should. basically Shalane is a running goddess & Elyse is nutritionist queen! •
this training cycle for @runsra_cim I want to focus on fueling my body for those long miles and most importantly for Race Day. yes, my training plan started this week but I will be running through the Fall season and into Winter, aka Flu Season. not only is it that time of year, but intense training can leave the immune system overworked and prone to sickness.

to fend off the snot rockets these next few months, I am focusing on optimum nutrition found in naturally delicious ingredients. like in this smoothie - kale, celery, apples, bananas, lemon, ginger, and coconut water. now before you make that face where your nose wrinkles, it is surprisingly tasty. plus it has incredible health benefits.

  • HONESTY REPORT // I went to the bike path in the park to test out my new shoes. Before I began running, I went and sat by the river and did some stretching and (un) thinking. In the midst of this (un) thinking I thought (ha ha), “but why?”.
WHY are you running this marathon. 
WHY. 
In the beginning of any journey, a lot of coaches and influencers say that you must have a strong goal, and a solid “why”. That you will not be successful if you do not have a reason you are doing something. To an extent this is true, HOWEVER it’s not always simple to find your “why”...I started this marathon journey with ZERO reason why except this: 
it’s something I’ve never done before. and I was bored of my current training. 😂👏🏆
And that was good enough to get me to start, and since then my why has changed to: 
I want to be challenged differently, I want to know my mental stamina, I want to understand myself in a way that allows me to be fluid in my knowledge of how my body moves through a space - AND through an event, and through a goal. I want to know myself better. 🔊👌
Running has changed my mental abilities, it has given me clarity on my life and how I perceive myself - and it has allowed me to break free from self limitations, and be more grateful for the beauty of the struggle and the rise of perseverance. I’ve become more confident in my aspirations, and in saying “no” or “yes” to opportunities. I feel more solid. Grounded. But like I’m flying at the same time. 😭🙏✨🏃🏼‍♀️
There’s nothing like thinking “fuck this, my calves are on FIRE, my hips feel like BRICKS, and my thighs are CHAFING LIKE ALL HELL!!...but I’m going to keep going. just keep going.” 😆

Real success stories stir hope inside of me and eliminate all excuses! They are a reminder to keep going! ⛰ 
I'm sharing the story of @krose21987 & her sister @liz_parmer as they progress through my 90 Day DAIL IN plan for weight loss. 
Krystal's goal is to lose 20 pounds in 90 days. Her motivation is to "lighten the load." She's considering breast reduction surgery, but wants to see if losing 20 pounds will help her avoid it and reduce the girls." She is a wife, mom of 3 (ages 5.5, 2.5 & 6mo) and showing up without excuses.

  • Vacation was amazing ☀️So refreshing and relaxing (even with three kids). I’m excited to be back in my own bed and I’m really excited for these upcoming months!! SO MUCH IS HAPPENING and I can’t wait to keep sharing!  I’m ready to go hard till 2020.  Goals are set, calendars are filled and I’m ready to smash the remainder of 2019 👊🏼

Okay, etwas umgehauen hat mich der Triathlon schon, bin seit dem ich gestern heim gekommen bin am kränkeln und mir tut alles weh 🙈 ob es daran liegt, dass ich beim Schwimmen gefühlt den halben Rhein getrunken habe? 🤔🤔

Naja, daher wurde der heutige Tag nur auf dem Sofa verbracht 🛋️😴 morgen bin ich hoffentlich wieder fit und kann in die Laufschuhe schlüpfen. Denn der #koelnmarathon2019 rückt schon in großen Schritten näher 🤞
