🔸 TRAINING HUMAN OPTIMISATION FOR A TACTICAL ATHLETE. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
🔸FOUNDATION; This phase involves establishing the training programme and putting it into action. Whether this be a cardiovascular, strength or composite (Hybrid) based one, in which the latter is usually adopted. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔸ADAPTION; This phase involves both the actual physical training itself (Developing Resilience and Work Capacity) alongside a structured recovery protocol. The focus here is adaption, and minimising ‘burn-out’ or over-Training. This can be achieved via sleep, meeting macronutrient targets (i.e. protein intake) and fascial release/massage/dynamic stretching (enriching blood flow to muscles)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔸EXECUTION; Focus here is on “peaking” for an event or goal, to ensure that performance is optimal and the outcome desirable and in-Line with said goal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Scientists are using underwater loudspeakers to lure fish to patches of dead coral in the Great Barrier Reef in an effort to revive the coral. By replicating the sounds of healthy reefs, the researchers discovered that twice as many fish arrived — and stayed — compared with patches where no sound was played, according to a study published in Nature Communications. “Healthy coral reefs are remarkably noisy places — the crackle of snapping shrimp and the whoops and grunts of fish combine to form a dazzling biological soundscape. Juvenile fish hone in on these sounds when they’re looking for a place to settle,” said one of the study’s authors. (📸: Harry Harding/University of Bristol)
