lit me up // moss beach - golden coast
Amazing sunset overlooking the North Pacific from half moon bay on the west coast - mavericks is just around the corner (a giant wave popular with crazy mad surfers). Vibes...
The Pacific Ocean’s might is on display at Mavericks Beach in Half Moon Bay CA. A unique underwater rock formation creates gigantic waves, some as tall as 60 feet. Mavericks attracts big wave surfers from around the globe to pit their skills against nature’s full fury. One of those surfers, Mark Foo, famously drowned here Dec. 23, 1994. #MavericksBeach#MarkFoo#HalfMoonBay

Impromptu spray-painted memorial to big-wave surfer Mark Foo at Mavericks Beach in Half Moon Bay CA. There’s an arrow pointing to the spot where Foo was last seen wiping out on a 15-20- foot wave Dec. 23, 1994. His body was found a couple hours later still connected to his surfing leash and a piece of his board. #markfoo#mavericksbeach#halfmoonbay
