Ingredients
1 can chickpeas
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp tahini
1/2 tsp cumin, ground
2 tsp turmeric, ground
1 lemon, juiced
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp sea salt
4 tbsp ice cold water

Directions
Add chickpeas to a small pan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil and reduce to a simmer. Cook until chickpeas are almost falling apart and mushy. Drain and allow to cool. Add garlic and lemon juice to food processor and blend to combine. Add in cooled chickpeas and all other ingredients. Process until super smooth and creamy, adding more cold water if you need to.

Don’t fear fats! Whether your goal is fat loss, muscle gain or just maintenance, dietary fats are an important part of a balanced healthy diet. In fact, not having enough fat in your diet can manifest in symptoms like extreme mental fatigue, dry skin, excessive hunger, loss of menstrual cycle, and more.

While some people might fear fats because they think that ingesting fat will “make them fat,” fats are not the enemy and that’s just not the case. While fats are energy dense, (9 calories per gram compared to carbs/proteins which are 4 calories per gram), they’re also very satiating so a adequate portion of fat can leave you feeling fuller. In addition, your body uses stored fat as energy when we go periods of time without food.

🧠 Did you know your brain needs fat?Brain matter is compromised of about 60% fat (when drained of water). Monunsaturated fats like olive oil, avocados, almonds, and eggs can also increase production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that plays an important role in learning and memory.

🌡  Fats protect and insulate your body. The layer of fat under your skin help regulate internal body temp. Vital organs, like your kidneys, have a layer of fat around them that acts as bubble wrap to protect them.

✨ When it comes to creating new cells, fats are used in the production of phospholipid cell membranes and hormones. Communication between cells is also dependent upon lipids.

Some of my favorite healthy fats to include in my nutrition plan are eggs, salmon, almonds, other nuts, olives/olive oil, grass-fed meats. What are your go-tos?

Being a Sunday we were rushing around in the morning to get ready for church and some were fasting so breakfast was mostly skipped. After church we came home and everyone had leftovers for lunch. For dinner we grilled some hamburgers to use up the rest of the buns we had. It was a fairly easy and relaxing Sunday as far as meals go. Cost of this day: Hamburgers- $8Buns- $2Leftovers- free Total cost for this day: $10.00 Running Total Budget for the 30 days used: Groceries purchased: $567.10 Groceries used in meals: $278.75 Date Night: $74.33 Pizza: $94.29 Our budget for these 3 for the 30 days is: Groceries- $600, Date Nights- $100 & Pizza- $100 Since we may not use all the groceries purchased in this time, and will be using some things we have on hand already, we will be tracking both the running total of the best estimated cost of meals each day as well as the cost of groceries/date nights/pizza purchased during the 30 days.

На фото чудесные веганские тосты, за окном солнечное утро! День для обсуждения веганской диеты) Бытует мнение, что веганство крайне сложно соблюдать, это дорого, и совсем неэкономично. Сегодня будем развеивать эти глупые предрассудки и вместе обсудим, с чего начинать веганить. Пост получится длинным, так что это только часть) Обязательно смотрите другие!
Вот вам небольшой список рекомендаций и замечаний, который я вынесла из своей жизни, когда начинала веганить! 
1. Посмотрите, сколько вы едите за день. Речь не только о количестве самой еды, но и о количестве приемов пищи тоже. Лично от себя могу порекомендовать дробное питание (завтрак-перекус-обед-перекус-ужин)
2. Примерно подсчитайте деньги, которые тратите на еду 
3. Не записывайте свой рацион, однако включайте в него все необходимое. (подробнее в следующих частях)
4. Купите витамин В12 - его вы не получите из веганской диеты.
5. Начинайте с малого, перестаньте есть мясо, потом пить молоко, потом есть творог и сыр.
6. У вас действительно должна быть мотивация. Для это ОЧЕНЬ РЕКОМЕНДУЮ КАЖДОМУ ВЕГАНУ прочесть книгу "Китайское исследование", и посмотреть фильмы "Доминион", "Скотозаговор". Для меня эти медиа стали лучшей мотивацией.
