Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday, some time for reflection, a little self care and most of all love.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how things are not as they seem with people, especially on social media. I feel compelled to think about what might be going on beyond most of the images. People like you and I waging private battles. Hidden warriors, facing the same life challenges many of us face. Emotional pain, trauma, relationship issues, loneliness, financial struggle, health issues
I see you out there trying to come out of your darker places to ascend and grow. I feel like our happiness can unify us but our pain also unifies us, because out of pain we grow, we evolve and elevate as a species. It’s unavoidable and every, single one of us experiences it. We just don’t see and share a lot of that, we know that we are being rated according to our success, resilience and appearance, making it difficult to share our vulnerabilities.
So the next time you look at someone else’s life on social media and start to feel lonely or like you are “less than”, connect with their humanity and understand that they have to struggle at times, just like you and I. What we see are fragments of the human experience and the human experience is limitless.... so much broader than a snapshot could ever depict.

Chasing happiness is a never ending race. When you “chase” happiness you are chasing the chemical reaction that gives you happy feelings. Each time you find something that does this for you, it will take more of it the next time you seek the feeling.
It leads to things like addiction and overspending. It guides decision making that doesn’t lead to a fulfilling life.
The thing about true happiness is that it follows finding meaningful moments in life.
This is the type of happiness that will return again and again and will feel good. It’s the type that leads to good decision making and pride.
Finding meaning will not always feel happy. In fact, many meaningful things are difficult - they create happiness but they also create stress, worry, anxiety.
So, if you’re chasing your next hit of dopamine, stop. Take a step back. Ask yourself what matters in my life? How can I lean into this? Happiness will follow.

As my toddler-free weekend comes to an end, I have realised just how much my baby girl has changed my life! Dan and I thought we would be out smashing it like old times, instead we ducked out early, slept 10 hours, shopped for a plant and got a car wash! At 5pm we were totally bored and had run out of things to do (this never, ever, happens when parenting young humans)!!😂 The old times were great, but honestly, I cant wait to get my little monkey back and enjoy the chaos 💖💖 (this is actually a housecoat from @3nu ! Peribahasa "lebih besar pasak daripada tiang", rasanya masih sangat cocok dengan kekinian. Maklum masih sangat banyak orang lebih memilih memenuhi keinginannya terhadap sesuatu/barang dibanding melakukan tata kelola hidup termasuk belanja yang semakin baik.
Ketika gaji 2-3 juta masih sangat tertib mengatur semua pengeluaran termasuk disiplin untuk menabung meskipun jumlahnya kecil. Tapi ketika gaji sudah 7-8 juta, mata mulai jelalatan dengan berbagai keinginan bukan kebutuhan hingga terengah-engah membayar berbagai cicilan utang, mulai utang handphone, motor, mobil dan rumah, boro-boro menabung.
Kebanyakan beralasan kalo ngga ngutang ngga bakal punya apa-apa. Akhirnya, setiap hari kerja hanya menghitung cukup tidaknya gaji buat bayar cicilan bulan itu. Sementara, interaksi dengan debt collector pun jadi rutinitas.
Meski tak salah punya mimpi dan cita-cita tinggi, tapi kalo kerja akhirnya cuma buat bayar utang apalagi jumlah utang yang besar sampai tahunan lamanya, itu tidak realistis. Memangnya umur itu kita sendiri yang tentuin?

Hi! I'm Ben. Sorry for not introducing myself sooner. It's a good thing to talk about God and how to love people (which is what I aim to do on Instagram, in case you haven't noticed...☺), but I also realize it's important to talk about myself insofar as it serves to glorify God and benefit others.
That's what I'm here to do. (Of course, I also greatly appreciate and benefit from the many life-enhancing contributions of others.)
Basically, growing in love is my hearts greatest desire. Connecting with God. Connecting with people. That's what it's all about. Enjoying life and unwrapping the gifts God has given me, and giving presents to others so their joy may increase. I want to help people discover how delightful life can be. So their meaning would be revealed, their passion unleashed, and their purpose pursued.
I have learned a lot of lessons the hard way, but in the best way (with God). I expound on many of the details throughout my book, Selfless-Sufficient, which is now available in eBook format on Amazon for FREE! Most of my posts are serious in nature. I think it's important to have a balance of work and play. Activity and rest. What do I do in my elusive free time? Pray, write, and make songs. I've spent countless hours in solitude with God; I've written a book, thousands of other pages (journal entries, stories, poems, insights, prayers, answers to prayer, etc), and I've produced 140+ simple songs (vocals/lyrics/acoustic). Muchos en la actualidad TIENEN una vida llena de hazañas, logradas quizás a temprana edad. Pero cuando llegan a casa están solos, no tienen alguien especial para compartir, siente "un vacio" y no saben que es eso que les falta.
Pasan años haciendo lo que "tienen que hacer" y lo que "deben hacer", y en un momento se dan cuenta que, entre tanto logro, aún no han llegado a la felicidad.
Es así como inicia esa gran busqueda del sentido de la vida, del #proposito de la vida. ¿Quién soy?
¿Qué quiero para mi y para el mundo?
¿Cuáles son mis talentos y dones?
¿Cómo puedo ayudar a otros desde quien soy, lo que deseo y lo que se hacer bien?
Cuando encontramos el sentido, contenido y propósito de nuestra vida, comenzamos a experimentar plenitud, gratitud, felicidad y éxito en nuestra vida.

A lot of us find meditation very hard especially when your brain is buzzing all the time (like mine🤪)
For many people sitting still for about ten minutes could be awkward and most likely they’ll be thinking what to have for dinner rather than calming themselves down.
So if you want to start meditating but you’re not sure how, I have a few tips for you which personally helped me to achieve a better meditation level.
-First you have to be open to it and want to meditate. Don’t do it because everyone else is meditating, find your own reasons. For me it was developing deeper connection with the universe and myself, finding inner peace and heal myself.
-Start from something simple like mindful walking. Notice your surrounding, feel every step. It helps to be more grounded.
-In the morning, while you drink your coffee, pause for a few minutes and engage your senses. Notice what you see, smell, hear, taste and touch.
-You can also do a short visualization a few minutes before you fall asleep imagining your perfect life or perfect job (I heard about this from Kathrin @manifestationbabe)
-Another thing is to practice gratitude every morning or evening.
-There are also apps which can help you with meditation. I personally like ‘Stop Breathe and Think’. Free version is perfect for beginners, they offer short guided meditations I like to start my day with.
After you master these simple and small practices you can move on to a deeper meditation. At the moment I’m listening to nature sounds and imagine myself walking through a forest and collecting good energy from trees. I turn this energy into shining light and literally can see myself glowing.
I’m still working on a deep meditation which doesn’t require any soundtrack and I’m not distracted by any thoughts or sounds from outside. I guess this takes much more time to master.

We don't get to live a meaningful life or leave the world a better place without stress & discomfort. Don't push your emotions to the side because they will just get stronger. Face them and embrace them. It is full moon! Last full moon @mathijsvanderbeek and I flew from Fuerteventura to The Netherlands. After that we traveled to England and met @charlie_morley_lucid_dreaming and learned more about lucid dreaming and conscious dying, which was very interesting.
We traveled further to Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. The next weeks we are going to visit the Bosnian Pyramids again. I love the energy of the Pyramids, especially the energy from the Pyramid of the Moon (on my Dutch blog I share more about it).

things are looking UP ☺️ guyss!! im literally so sorry i haven’t been my usual active self on here... 🙇🏼♀️⛹🏼♀️📚since school has gone back 3 weeks ago i have been flat out! working, studying, sport, friends ughhh the list goes on! anyway, i have SOO much to update you all on, where do i even begin?! 😜 i’m a ‘new term’ ‘new me’ typa gal and can pride myself that this has been my attitude over the years now. i am such a big believer in the power of positive mental health, it plays such an important role in our health and wellbeing and the outcomes of our day! #callmezen ☯️ this is something that i’ve really being trying to focus on this term, as i am also prone to getting stressed out over all the massive exams and assessments that i seem to be drowning in at the moment... it’s also about finding that balance between school and life... don’t let school take over your life! life is so much more that grades and numbers; it’s family, friends, experiences, challenges, adventuring, exploring... 🌈💫and when we finally get that moment to reflect and look back at it all, be thankful. i am challenging myself and any of you to try and incorporate that little bit of thankfulness into your lives... 30 DAYS OF THANKFULNESS - 30 days of positivity, 30 days of reflection, 30 days of perspective, 30 days of mindfulness, 30 days of YOU. each morning (or evening, it doesn’t matter hehe) choose one thing you are thankful ... it can range from the roof over your head, to your mum, to the kit kat you ate yestetday...
