  • It's more than the a physical and nutritional change. It's a commitment. It's a mindset. It's a direction. It's a belief. It's an inner transformation as well as an outer one. It's about the whole you. It's about now and it's about what lies ahead. It's being a part of something bigger. You Belong Here ❤️

  • Autism- a neurological disorder that henders ones ability to adapt to their surroundings, when loud noises and smells and lights can trigger a meltdown.. for JJ a baby crying, small rooms with lots of “who Mens” it presents differently depending on the situation.. every Saturday we come to Faith’s gymnastics class and almost every Saturday Jeremiah has a meltdown due to the amount of people in the room with us.. there are crying babies, loud parents and it’s almost 2 hours sitting in place. As he gets older it’s not getting any easier.. the looks of misunderstood parents continue.. whys he wearing headphones? Why does he still suck his thumb? Why does he carry his Mickey Mouse pillow everywhere??? First, it’s really none of your business since it isn’t your child. Secondly, the headphones are noise cancellation to block some of the noise out, the pillow and thumb are comfort.. at one point we may not need them but with all he goes thru I haven’t really pushed for him to stop. Respect a parents choice on how they parent.. it may not be the way you choose to do it but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s wrong. My child is overstimulated in this picture and I find it disgusting that adults are the one judging the most.. if I choose to rock my 6 year old child that’s my choice, if he sucks his thumb at 6 also my choice.. let’s be more supportive to one another and understanding and remember it’s a child your snickering about!! #knowbetter #autism #overstimulated #meltdown #specialneeds #proudmom #triggers #mindyourbusiness #dontpissoffmamabear

  • There's nothing like the epic meltdown that occurs at the end of a kids birthday party that guarantees an eager exit!!! 🎊🥳🎉🍺 The bouncy castle, the cake 🎂, the excitement! After a few hours it all becomes too much!
I managed to diffuse the situation with promise of a cold beer 🍺 and a dark room!
The children however were impeccably behaved and are bathed and ready for bed!! 🧒🏻👶🏻 #adultingishard #meltdown #daddyneedsabeer

  • Yesterday I had all the feels. Emotions can come bombarding us and bust through in unexpected times. All the BIG and little things add up and sometimes, like a huge ocean wave, we do not see it coming.
•
responsibilities, expectations, disappointments, frustrations, unmet needs, difficulties, pressures, uncertainties, concerns, circumstances
•
So I may have cried a few times in between doing other things (I cry when I’m stressed, happy, sad, elated - all the things. Sorry, not sorry, that is just me).
•
Do you ever just have a weepy day?
•
Yesterday was mine and y’all (sorry to any males reading this, please ignore) it was NOT “Aunt Flow” visiting as a good friend of mine use to refer to a woman’s menstrual cycle approaching. LOL
•
It was just life.
•
Can we all just admit that it’s okay to recognize when we’ve just had enough and maybe we need to say all the things for more than “five minutes” (sorry @drcarolineleaf - I love your mental health tips - for the rest of you to understand watch my last FB Live), have a good cry or several, talk to our mom or best friend or both, our husband, and get hugs from our kids who are giving us strange looks.
•
This does NOT make you and I weak. This makes us human. This makes us alive. This means we have emotions that need to be processed, NOT stuffed away to manifest later.
•
This means that the next day you and I can get up, pray, read scripture, and get a new grip on God’s faithfulness.
•
It means we can gain strength from His unlimited resources, and rest in His presence and promises for a new day. He is good!
•
This may mean that we choose to become more determined to fight for things that bring true joy - even the things that feel unattainable right now.
•
News Flash: Those things do not usually just fall in our laps. We have to cultivate things in our lives that are important to us no matter what our circumstances are. There is a way where there is a will!
•
So when I saw the photo below that @_kellyisaacs posted and her quote, it summed up my day yesterday: “Sometimes it’s hard to put feelings into words.... good thing God understands it all. So thankful for His goodness.” - @_kellyisaacs

  • I’m Morgan.
I’m just a girl from a tiny tiny town in Western Wisco.

I grew up being that “small girl.” You know, the girl that could throw down 2 cheeseburgers and a large fry from Mac dons and still have abs. Yep, that was me.
College came and parties and fast food became my jam and before I knew it, my weight was out of control.
It wasn’t just the 50lbs of extra weight; it was the internal struggle. The struggle of looking in the mirror, hating what I saw.
I didn’t have energy to do much, and I would often find myself laying on the couch, watching Netflix and feeding my face with chips and salsa.
After trying every fad diet and magic pill, I decided that it was time for something different.
I saw her transformation; not only the physical transformation; but her GLOW.
I wanted that. I wanted to feel good about myself again.
So, I put my head down and got to work-yeah, those silly at home workouts.
After the first few weeks, I was absolutely hooked.
The energy I gained from moving my body was unexplainable and then I began FUELING my
body with food, instead of using it to cover up my feelings.
I promise you; it’s never too late.
Next week we kick off prep for the ultimate accountability-100 days.
I COMMIT to 100 days.
You with me?
