  • Sometimes, I get opportunities to get away and walk into rooms that are filled with faith, and sit on beaches that are filled with beauty and have conversations with beautiful generous people who are filled with love. Like I did for the last five days as I spent time with myself and others on the Gold Coast. .

  • An introvert prefers to spend time alone in order to recharge their inner being. An introvert may appear to be shy to others, but that is not necessarily an accurate label. Being among groups of friends, family and even strangers can be wonderfully stimulating and joyous occasions. However interacting with people and attention to multiple sources of stimuli tends to draw down an introvert's energy causing them to eventually withdraw to spend time alone to re-energize. Small talk and pointless conversations tend to draw down an introvert's energy rapidly.

An introvert enjoys time alone without unwanted distractions and stimulation in order to recharge their inner strength.

  • The time has come. Our big babies are now both full time at school... (Sigh) And the most incredible school at that. 🙏🏼
This is the first day I’ve had a block of more than 2 hours to myself in months. Literally months! Mum’s you know what I’m talking about. 🤗
For me these days it’s so much about the simple things... like throwing the ball for this adorable fudge ball. No, he’s not ours. (Though we’re tempted to steal him @cj__0conne11 😉) But he 🐕 and his foxy sidekick 🦊 bring so much joy to our family every single day. 💕 I’ve honestly never heard the kids laugh out loud 😂 so much since having dogs in and around our home. Looking forward to when our new home is ready and we can have a dog of our own. For now, it’s diving into kitchens and bathrooms and things interior design. Ps. Loving the first Autumn 🍂 sprinkle. My fav time of year, especially in the Cotswolds 🥰

  • Am I the only person who has felt guilty about this? There have been SO many times where I've been like, nooo I can't spend money on another supplement. Or nooo I can't take this half an hour for self care when there's so much to do. 
I still get this from time to time FOR SURE. 
But one of the cool things about being a writer who writes about women's health all the time, is that I get some perspective outside of my own experience. And, over the years I've found myself saying things to women that I've then refelcted on and gone, man...I should say that to myself. I should take my own advice. So, the process of writing about PCOS helps me to heal and grow on my own journey.

And learning that feeling guilty about prioritising my health is actually SO silly...has been SO good for me.

Do not feel guilty about prioritising your health.

Especially towards your family. 
Your family want you to be healthy! 
Your family BENEFIT from you being healthy!

Aside from the improved quality of life you will have, and aside from the reduced risk of developing serious conditions like diabetes, endometrial cancer and heart disease … how about the fact that they will have a happier YOU in their lives. A less MOODY you. A less TEMPERAMENTAL you. 😂

EVERYONE benefits when a woman with PCOS starts to prioritise her health and balance her hormones.

Has anyone else had to really make this shift in thinking?

Where are all my sports fans at? Whether you love sports or not, we all know that a sports fan believes in their team, supports their team, cheers on their team, and sticks with their team.

What if we all took on the mindset of the ultimate sports fan when it comes to the kind of belief we have in ourselves? Ya know..the fan who is so dedicated to his/her team, that no matter how that team performs, the unconditional support and belief will be there. We all know one of those fans, right!?

I say root for yourself like you're the MVP of your own team. Believe in your ability to play like the best of them and be unwavering in your determination to win. Might you come up short some days? Yup! We all do. But just like the ultimate fan wouldn't give up on the team, you shouldn't give up on yourself.

You 100% can win at whatever goal you want to achieve. You can lose that weight. You can do that workout. You can make the time. You can fit it all in. But you need to be your own superfan and first believe that you can. Even if you consider yourself the underdog, once you start rooting for yourself and believing that you are capable, you'll understand that winning is always possible. So simply believe YOU ARE POSSIBLE!
