One of the most interesting modernist homes in the prestigious Vista Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs, the Theodore & Claire Morse Residence (1960) started life as an Alexander tract home designed by the firm of Palmer & Krisel. In 1961, the Morses commissioned renowned Los Angeles architect Harold "Hal" Levitt to glamorize and expand the home turning it into a Hollywood-style "entertainment residence." The Morse Residence is considered by many to have the best pool and bar entertainment combo in Palm Springs 🕺🌴🏊♀️ #palmerkrisel#palmsprings#midcentury
Look, the Eames Lounge is nice & all. It's a nice chair. But it's also a little bit like, "Oh, you've seen Mad Men, too?" I'll take a black on black Womb chair over an Eames every time. By Eero Saarinen for Knoll.
Today’s project: taking these mid-century chairs and turning them from a French country look back to a more mid-century style with a tweed looking chenille avocado green fabric (scraps I got for $5). The original fabric looks very similar but in a golden brown with less sheen. #diy#midcenturymodern#midcentury#deadstock#makersgonnamake#fabric

Here's a great Mid Century Walnut 9 drawer dresser. Most likely by Vic Art. Consists of 6 drawers with amazing pulls and a sliding door that opens to reveal three more drawers, all on sleek, tapered legs. $545
In original condition. Top shows some colour fading with no significant damage other than a scratch and a chip on bottom of right side as show.

“If Jack Charney ever visits us in spirit form, I’m pretty sure he’d say, ‘Wow, my house stood up so well.’” @rayniromitowilliams
