👁 Are you listening to your Highest Self?...
When we have a strong emotional reaction to something, good or bad, it’s because it’s touched some part of our soul.
Feelings give us information about where our boundaries are, how we’re doing, and if there are things we need to be paying attention to.
They tell us when things are amazing, and also when things aren’t.
Feelings are also a part of who we are, and rejecting or denying them means we’re also effectively rejecting and denying ourselves and our very being.
Instead of embracing this part of our inherent humanity, we push it away so we can appear to everyone else like we’re ok, we aren’t difficult, and we don’t have needs.
But that’s self-betrayal.
It’s saying that whatever is happening to us or how we feel, is not as important as what’s going on for everyone else.
In a very real way, we’re communicating to our subconscious and to others that we aren’t worthy of taking up space or of being loved when we have normal needs.
And your needs are important!
So, next time strong feelings come up, invite them in for a warm hug— don’t shut them out or push them away. They function to protect and guide you, even if it doesn’t feel that way all the time.
Ask them what they are there to tell you, listen with intention, and then give yourself what you need.
You hold so much more wisdom than you think ✨
I spent a long time pushing away my feelings and not listening to my Highest Self- can anyone else relate?? Drop a comment and let’s talk! 🥰👇🏼👇🏼
Sending Hugs & Hope,
All of the magic... all of the love... such a sweet boy. He just stared out the window for the entire 2 hours, asking questions about everything that passed by. He loved listening to the piano in our train car and asked her to teach him how to play.
It was truly a gift to all of us, especially after having to tackle him to floss his teeth this morning & having him refuse to visit with relatives last night for date night.
He keeps us on our toes. Knows what he wants. Knows what he doesn’t want. Tells us what’s in his comfort zone. Is a leader. Doesn’t follow others. Is firm in his beliefs. And... maybe that makes me look a little further into myself. I love him exactly the way he is and know he will do continue to bring amazing things to this world.
For some reason this birthday feels bigger, and I think it's because I've learned so much this past year and mostly this past month about myself and what I want in life🎂✨
I've been thinking a lot about all that I've learned in my 21 years of life and wanted to share some here with you🥳😍
1. Life is too short to be anything but happy!
2. Explore and travel as much as you can!
3. Laugh and smile often, at least every single day!
4. Cherish friendships, relationships, and your family!
5. Don’t ever let anyone dull your shine, always be brightly you!
6. True friends will always be there, regardless!
7. Exercise and be active daily, and go outside as much as possible!
8. Step out of your comfort zone, try new things with new people!
9. Let go of negativity; people, habits, vibes, anything!
10. Don’t look back, keep pushing forward!
11. Let yourself rest, and give yourself (much needed) breaks!
12. Detox, detox, detox! Digital, emotional, physical!
13. Strive for greatness, don’t give up on your dreams!
14. Document your favorite moments, take photos, keep a journal, and look back on the memories!
15. Take life one day at a time, it goes by quickly!
16. Read, write, and create daily!
17. It’s okay to feel lost, you’re in the process of finding yourself!
18. Avoid comparison, try feeling inspired and motivated instead!
19. Celebrate life, every beautiful moment of it!
20. Treat yourself, you deserve it!
21. Be ever grateful and ever thankful, your life is one of a kind and one that is worth cherishing!
You don’t need to sit for meditation, sometimes I don’t have time and practice mindfulness while taking a shower or making the bed. Paying attention to my breathe while doing certain simple activities like walking is also a good meditation. However, I like to sit and having a space to do so is a great incentive for a successful practice. A simple little corner in your house can be an invitation to sit and breathe. #mindfulillustration#meditation#mindfulness#breathe#mindbodysoul#yoga#mindfulyoga
I woke up this morning and began my 40 Day Lakshmi Chant Journey. I have been doing house chores all day and love being so proactive. I am journaling these 40 days and am excited to see what it brings. The first day feels amazing already. Getting organized to clear the mind and welcome new prospects!

For the past two days, I’ve been attending an intense Karma healing seminar.
The goal of the course is to ultimately teach us how to change our Karma.
We can do this by learning how to tap into the source memory of a our unconscious mind 🧠. We have memories that are so deep in our unconscious mind, that we don’t even know they are there, but they affect and influence our daily lives.
Through karma healing, once we pinpoint these memories (which can be done one by one!) we revoke them. Then, we make new beliefs in our brains to finally change our behavior and have better Karma.
It’s so complicated and takes time and dedication to be able to be successful at it, but it can be done.
I took this course with the hope of healing myself from my pains and to slowly become the best version of myself and bring good karma to myself, my family and those around me. I know it’s not an easy idea to digest , this karma healing, but I went in with an open mind and an open heart.
Like I always say, even if I learn one thing from something I do, it makes it all worthwhile. #meditationiskey @karmaguruacademyuae
That's a wrap folks! I can offically say I COMMITTED TO 💯🎉💪 I couldn't hold back the waterworks💦 at the very end..... As soon as @jerichomcmatthews voice started to crack, I CRACKED 😭 I know all to well what it feels like to give-up & quit on myself, I've gotten pretty used to that feeling honestly, so it doesn't sting as much as it used too.... BUT feeling accomplished, strong & undefeated is an all new experience for me, it's one I'm only just starting to really get to know and now that I have, it's one I'll fight with all I have to never, EVER, let it go.
I cried because I felt thankful for God's grace that I get to move my body this way every day, a priviledge I've taken for granted for far too long.
I cried because I felt proud of myself for persevering even when it felt too HARD or I felt too SCARED, something I never believed I could do before.
I cried because I FEEL FREE, free of all the limitations I've ever set for myself. Free of all the self-doubt & self-loathing that's weighed me down for so long. FREE to grow, FREE to thrive, FREE to live the life I've always deserved too.
I cried, not because my journey is over now, but because it's only truly just begun.
Heres to the next adventure, friends 😉 #be100
"Until working with you I always blamed myself and thought something was wrong with ME."
Unfortunately this is one of the most common things I have heard people say over years of having clients, teaching, and practicing in my own training.
And to be honest I'm guessing it is one of the most common things most people have in the back on their mind in their day to day life.
🚷When you grow in a culture that teaches you so shut up, suck it up, and be "strong",
🚷When you are not given context about how our emotions, thoughts, bodies, and souls process life,
🚷When you have not had the proper space held for you to be raw and vulnerable enough to go into those spaces,
🚷And when the only presented solution for solving the problem of your emotions has been taking pills, taking drugs, taking supplements, or numbing out,
Then YES of course you think something is wrong with you.
And because western medicine and many kinds of talk therapy do not know how to target the imbalances it can feel like something in you is broken.
We have grown up in a culture where certain emotions are not socially acceptable. So when they come up we dont know how to process them.
We do not embrace death.
We do not embrace gried.
We do not embrace rage.
We do not embrace what turns us on.
But that is our job, creating a culture that embraces the depth of the human experience in its uncensored fullness.
Which involves going out the a limb and feeling things society has programmed us to think are weird and weak to feel.
Embracing the discomfort and confusion in the right context and space allows for evolutionary healing to happen inside of you.
So be brave. Reach out. And dive deep.

If we have the power to manifest love and positivity, why not share it with the world?
Thank you @lululemon Orlando for organizing such a fun filled and phenomenal cheer station at the OUC Half Marathon! Today was a celebration of community, and I will be riding this high for weeks to come ❤️
When we label emotions and thoughts as bad, wrong or “the worst of a person” it prolongs their pain and suffering. They feel shame for being honest, for feeling and thinking differently. They don’t get the help they need or deserve.
These moments are hard and painful, they are confusing and can cause problems in our relationships, but this is a part of our lives that should not be deemed as “the worst” of someone, because is it really? Are you perfect? Or are your imperfections without labels? We are not defined by are lows, but we are certainly not defined by our highs either.
It’s okay not to be okay. Stop apologizing for being your version of human. Let go of shame and get the help you deserve.
You are light. You are love. I see you.

So today I passed my final practical assessment and became a qualified Personal Trainer :) I was unsure what I was going to do when I passed my PT qualification but when I finally decided, it suddenly felt that everything has led to this point in a really positive way.
Although a lot of people (not all) may have always seen me as a healthy person, I haven’t been. Just like everyone else, I have had my issues and I’ve suffered from anxiety, insomnia and feelings of worthlessness for long periods of time. I am not claiming that I have all the answers, but hopefully I will be able to help certain people as I feel like I am in a good position to share my experience and knowledge.
So in order to get to work, I created ‘TheBodyMindMentor’:
Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/thebodymindmentor/
In the New Year I am going to be posting 3 videos every week and the content will include but not limited to: • Weekly High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts
• Kettlebell/bodyweight/dumbbell workouts that you can follow along with at home
• The relationship between exercise and mental health
• How to lose fat/gain muscle
• How to optimise your nutrition for your physical and mental health
• Healthy recipes
• A full day of eating
• Being productive and setting goals
• Working towards finding your purpose
• Being mindful and the benefits of meditation
• What to cut out from your life
• The relationship between alcohol and mental health
• Different warm up/cool down and stretching sessions to prevent/overcome injury
• Other tips that I believe can help improve mental health based on results from scientific journals
Initially the content will mainly focus on the exercise workouts but I will include daily tips that I believe have some worth. I will also be continuing to complete the relevant qualifications so that I have some credibility in these areas.
If I can help just a handful of people improve their mental and physical health, this will all be worth it.
☠️Bloodied Cross ✝️ I’ve only just noticed red splatter markings on this Cross Gravestone. I definitely didn’t see it when taking the photo. Maybe it was just dark and it’s nothing ........ but maybe it’s something? Interestingly the church it is in has been abandoned since 1853 but to this day they still bury people in the graveyard. 🌚

I FAILED THE FITNESS TEST // If its not FUN to some extent, you’re not gonna continue to do it. It won’t be sustainable. Health needs to have components of FUN in it. Whether you are going to learn to cook healthfully, meditate, do yoga, eat well, start a fitness routine.....make sure you want to go to that person, place, class and don’t take away FUN but that it has some aspect of FUN. Try new things and see what you like. It takes time. GETTING, BEING & STAYING HEALTHY is a commitment, a lifetime, a lifestyle and its not a temporary quick fix. #rtv#randomtalkingvideo 💇 blowout by @beautybybriana_#healthyshouldbefun

Homeostasis is the Goal💯 . “Healing is easy, because our bodies want to fix themselves “ .
When our bodies are out of balance the organs cells and systems within the body naturally attempt balance or homeostasis. Putting the wrong “food” & drinks in your body can cause you so many preventable symptoms & dis-eases. .
Allowing stress to penetrate your mind & body works against your body's own efforts to heal itself. Toxic thoughts and negative emotions also work against the bodies ability to heal itself. .
When we stop working against the body's natural healing abilities healing miracles occur!
Let us go forth, the tellers of tales,
and seize whatever prey the heart long for,
and have no fear.
Everything exists, everything is true,
and the earth is only a little dust under our feet. - W. B. Yeats

🎉 Intro post!⠀
My name is Kerry and I am a Non-Diet Registered Dietitian, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and Registered Yoga Teacher. ⠀
I help my clients heal their relationships with food and body. 🙏🏼 I have a private practice in Fort Lauderdale where I treat eating disorders and disordered eating.⠀
My goals with this space on Instagram are to provide insight and tools for women to separate themselves from diet culture to bridge the gap between the mind and body that our culture has created. I want to take away the intimidation out of the word “yoga”, as it has many meanings and ALL bodies and ALL people can practice some form of yoga. 🙏🏼 Yoga, meditation and all things mindfulness can be a great adjunct to the journey of food freedom. ❤️⠀
I share bits of my life with you because I want to keep it real. 👍🏼⠀
My day always begins with coffee ☕️ and breakfast; I really value quiet mornings with my husband and our dogs. ☀️⠀
This pic was from our honeymoon last month in Bali and the trip was a m a z i n g ! ⠀

It may be hard to even think about making choices for after the holidays... 🎁🤯🙏🏼
AND we’ve got you.
See below for a practice in expanding your bandwidth and Life:
HOW TO do this holiday season with delicious presence & spaciousness: ✨
Ask yourself; what are my values/what do I desire most?
Then BE FULLY with WHAT IS (i.e. reality) right now
feel and acknowledge any gaps between those two (what you DESIRE & what’s REAL in this moment)
and choose accordingly to what you desire.
If you feel a limitation with that last step, there is likely a rule/story/belief pattern that is no longer serving you at the highest level, so acknowledge how that will keep you STUCK and make a new rule that honors YOU and the ALL, damnit! (Pro tip: make a little sound if it’s really, really stuck)
THIS is how to not be swallowed up & overwhelmed. This practice of presence & alignment is especially a good way to guide yourself through this season, so you can ENJOY it fully and be coming from your heart vs. societal obligations & chaos.
To set yourself up for sacred ritual in our space in the new year, call 828-255-2770 and leave us a message saying you want to sign up for the yoga class. We’ll save you a spot and call you back to exchange the deets. 💜

ATTITUDE is everything ... Starting off with the wrong attitude can really see you back. everybody responds better to a positive disposition. Hostility is almost always met with antagonist behaviour. Keep that in mind next time you start to feel out of control.

You have to realize once the universe awaken you your reborn. Your now a spritual being a light being. Your no longer a human being. Trying to do anything in human form and not spritial will always fail, will always bring suffering. Your primary goal is healing. Healing is something were all in need of. We heal by speaking our truth. We heal by forgiving, by not judging. We heal by letting go. We heal by loving the person in the mirror and loving all living beings, all that respire.
Once the universe awakens you it wants to fill you with light. So much light that you start to rise from this earthly plane to a altitude without a peak. So much light that you illuminate you ignite, you transmit, you glisten anything and everyone in your existence. Once the universe awakens you it wants to let you know you were not chosen, but yet you volunteered to incarnate here on earth to be light. So be light my divine infinite beings. Be light.
.Thank you and love and light to all who chose to read this long post.

🇺🇸Butternut soup 🥰🥰🥰
