My stack of boys just keeps growing 💙💚💛🧡❤️ People see me out with Zyen and Zorin and make comments like “wow, you have your hands full!” Meanwhile I have 3 kids they don’t see lol. When I tell them I have 5 kids their mouths drop open. My hands may be full, but my heart is fuller!

Just in case your day maybe wasn’t going ideal and you needed a little pick-me-up, I got you! Just look at that face! ☺️💕
Even when things seem, well, completely overwhelming and borderline not doable, all I have to do is take a silent moment to just stare at this little gift of life and every negative, stressful, defeated feeling just melts away. So pure, so innocent, so perfect. Makes every moment in this life meaningful. .
What’s your something that grounds you? Comment below! .
Now let me get back to breastfeeding, diaper changing, and nap time! 😆🥰

This is a photo I wouldn’t normally post because you can see my stomach.
But here we are because this is 2020 and women need to get out of their own damn heads... myself included.
I’ve never had a perfectly flat stomach and I likely never will because I love chocolate and ice cream waaaayyyy to much and I’m not the biggest fan of working out. #itsthetruth
But know what?!? This is Dax’s fave spot to be since he stopped nursing at the beginning of the month.
He will pull up my shirt, rest his head on my bare belly and make me his pillow for a minute, or an hour.
It’s warm, squishy and I’m his momma, so I let him cuddle my belly.
It has a huge scar and lots of stretch he marks, but he doesn’t see that or if he does, he doesn’t care.
Because I’m his momma, I’m his safe place, I’m his pillow.
So cheers to a year of loving yourself for who you are, and not who you wish you could be!

Hubby said ... “sleep in, I’ll feed the baby!” 5 minutes later... he was asleep holding a crying baby😭
Found out quick... there is no sleep when you are a mom😜😴
But so worth it💕
Life is full of sacrifice, challenges, and test.
You have to believe in the light at the end of the tunnel even when you can’t see it.
You have to wake up everyday faithful.
Find something that inspires you, and let it be your fuel. .
Mine calls me Mama. .
I get too in my head all of the time. I tend to be the girl that over thinks things without meaning to.
When something doesn’t go as planned I would get insecure and wonder what I did wrong and go into my shell.
It has affected me in the beginning of my business, it has affected me in everyday life, it has affected a lot.
A couple things happened these pass few weeks, first my hubby asked “why are you so afraid to succeed?” And my mentor recommended a personal development book.
Something has changed inside of me, this week I figured out a better schedule, I’ve tackled my business in a different way, I’m on a new path 💜
Kind of like working out and stretching, do the hard things, then take the time to “stretch” them out. And watch the growth. They go hand in hand. DON’T be afraid of the HARD work, and DON’T be afraid of WHERE it can bring YOU 💜
Sorry about year one, two and three little Lennon. When the bro bro’s joined the crew it got a little crazy and we dropped the ball on keeping up with the creative projects. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also I can never find the t-shirt, because I don’t fold like the other Marie.

Seeing the world through her eyes: motherhood greatest gift | Olhar o mundo pelos olhos dela, o maior presente que a maternidade me deu | Voir le monde à travers ses yeux: mon plus beau cadeau en tant que maman |
Today was just one of those days you live for as an Extern. It was filled with new experiences & learning opportunities. What more can you ask for?
I had the opportunity to assist with a CBI catheter insertion, an adult spinal tap, an I&D (incision & drainage), & a closed hip reduction. All in a day’s work.
How is a CBI different from your standard foley?
A CBI is a continuous bladder irrigation procedure used to flush large amounts of fluids through the patient’s bladder. It is indicated for patient’s with blood present in urine, usually when there are clots preventing the passage of urine through a standard urinary catheter.
The catheter used is a triple lumen (one for drainage, one for balloon inflation, & one for the fluids) & is bigger in diameter than your standard foley.
As a nurse, there are some important things to keep an eye on with a CBI. You want to monitor & document proper I&Os to make sure that the patient’s fluid status remains balanced. It’s also important to document the color/type of drainage present, patient’s tolerance/comfort of the procedure, & taking frequent body temps.
Many times this procedure is done before surgery!
SWIPE to see an example of one of the catheters used for a CBI!
I love this giant leafy greens sloth from @winksandwildflower so much! 🌿 And I had to show you with a selfie because we went to a super rare dinner celebration tonight (with the kiddos tagging along, of course). That means I blow-dried my hair and put on makeup like a real human! Feeling pretty accomplished today 😂 How often do you get to get done up? 🌷
add in waffles and a trip to ikea — this is how saturday’s should be 🌿

While we were running around today, Bucannon started complaining about having a headache. Lately, we’ve been having some difficulties with him complaining a lot and being extremely resistant to any kind of discipline so, when he told us this we kind of wrote it off as another episode of that. Not completely ignoring it of course but thinking maybe he was exaggerating. Tonight, he came downstairs and I noticed his face was a little red and his eyes were tired looking. We are lucky that both of our older kids have very distinct facial features when they don’t feel well. I immediately recognized his and felt his head. He was BURNING UP!! I took him into the bathroom and checked his temp and to my surprise he had a fever of 102.2. I was shocked. How could a mom let her kid go all day and not know they didn’t feel well? How long had he had this fever? Why didn’t I check him earlier? All the #momguilt cane rushing in. I could ask myself questions and blame myself all day OR I could simply give myself grace, stop making it about me and snuggle my boy. I chose snuggles...and Tylenol because the ER doesn’t sound like a fun Saturday night. Moms- It’s OK to not know everything, every minute of every day. It’s OK not being perfect. Stop blaming yourself for everything!! We are all just winging it. ✌🏻 #momlife#momsofinstagram#boymom

It has been an adjustment trying to make sure Greyson feels just as loved as our new addition. He’s done amazing with his brother and surprises me daily with how gentle he is! I love when he wants to “play” with his brother and including him on everything has helped so much ♡
I know you’re doing the best you can.
I believe in you.

Left the kids for 24 hours to visit Kyle at school and it was glorious 😂 First of all, I have the best mother in law ever. The boys love her, and Bennett would probably live with her if he could. But after 24 hours away TWO times this month I’ve realized a few things...
1. I love time away from my kids. It helps me be a better mom, especially in our current season of life. I watched HGTV, shopped for home decor for 2 hours, showered and took my time getting ready, and ate a sit down lunch ALONE!
2. I have zero guilt about leaving them. I know they’re in good hands and having another adult pour into them is good for everyone.
3. Leaving the kids is so good for our marriage. Getting to reconnect over dinner without wanting to gauge my eyes out because my toddler isn’t eating dinner for the 2nd month straight is amazing.
4. I will always, always advocate for leaving the kids if you have someone you trust to leave them with, and there aren’t any barriers holding you back. Even just one weekend a year! So thankful for family close by who makes the decision to leave easy! I’ve only left Max 3 nights since he was born but the toddler stage leaves me 🤪🤪🤪
