ما انقدر زندگيو سخت ميگيريم كه اصلا زندگي كردن برامون سخت ميشه، خب چرا؟ وقتي اين همه چيزاي قشنگ دورمونه كه ميتونيم ازش لذت ببريم. از كار كردن، از رانندگي، از قدم زدن، از خنديدن، از غذا خوردن، از موزيك گوش كردن،....
اين همه چيزاي خوب... پس چرا بايد سخت گرفت؟

It's amazing how much of our health and fitness journey comes down to mindset.
You have to be in the right mindset to get yourself in the gym and start.
You have to be in the right mindset to continue working out, even on days you aren't motivated.
You have to be in the right mindset to learn how to eat healthier.
You have to be in the right mindset to choose healthy foods when that pizza or those donuts are tempting you.
You have to be in the right mindset to push your body past the limits your mind sets for it, because you're capable of so much more than you think your are.
As I'm starting back into my training for race season, and running more, I need this reminder now more than ever! Running has always been one of those areas where I personally struggle with mindset. But, I'm determined to push past my own barriers and see how much better I can become!

Squats! The one exercise we both but especially Pete feels like has progressed the most through our training journey. He started with very poor mobility in his hips and his posture was rather curved with elbows flying everywhere. He has since began to make a better mind to muscle connection and engaging more muscles in the correction order in which he wants to recruit them. Today was a quick 5x5 with 90sec rests at a weight that we would normally do for around 8 reps. It was the beginning of our program and completely battered us. Followed with shrugs supinated rows incline bench and push press. Next session begins with deadlifts more to follow. Out bodies normally give us so many opportunities to tune in and see what we may be missing in the realm of self care .
Headaches , fatigue , anxiety, sleeplessness , poor digestion, inflammation- the body gently knocks to get us to pay attention.
Whether it’s adjustments to our nutrition, focusing on stress reduction, taking time to stretch , focusing on exercise , watching less news, spending time with more positive people - all of these adjustments affect our health and well being - and if we stop to listen - our bodies are sharing how happy they are ( or aren’t )with our self care .
So often we adapt to discomfort - instead of listening and remembering something may be off - the body may be reacting to something or needing something it’s not getting .
Preventative medicine is about honoring our bodies when they communicate - and taking inventory of how we can positively support the situation.
We deserve to live pain free, happy lives! We really do ! ⭐️ If you are uncomfortable in your skin- what’s your body telling you?

The Importance Of Rest Days 👇🏻
1. The Muscles Need Rest 💪🏻
When you are training hard you’re essentially tearing muscle fibres. But without a proper period of rest for your immune system to repair and grow the muscle, you’re not going to get the best benefits of training and can also end up injuring yourself. •
2. Your Performance Will Not Decrease 🏋🏻♀️
Many people worry that if they take a day off they will end up back at square one and all the progress they made during the week will not be there. It takes your body almost 2 weeks of non-activity before you start losing a noticeable amount of progress/height of performance . So taking a day off will not set you back a step.
3. Mental Edge 🧠
From a mental point, taking a rest day can rekindle your love/hunger for excercise and prevent burnout. Mental fatigue is just as draining as physical fatigue. So taking a rest day helps to recharge the mind. •
4. You Get To Focus On Other Things You Enjoy Doing ❤️
Having a rest day will not only help give your body and mind time to recharge and repair but also frees up time for you to do other things you may enjoy wether that’s spending time with friends or binge watching your favorite Netflix show.
