We have been itching to get back on the boards. After missing the opening weekend (which had a surprising amount of snow) due to Dylans broken thumb, we were a bit bummed at the amount of snow left since and started umming and ahhing whether to head down this last weekend at all. But with Dylans imminent return to work and my holidays almost over, we decided to ignore the doctors suggestions and make the trip as the forecast was showing freezing temperatures and blue skies..perfect for the snow guns! .
To our surprise, we were met with snow that didn’t let up for the first 24 hours which gifted us with a very small layer of ‘powder’ over man made snow. This provided much better than expected snow conditions, making us pumped to get down again as soon as possible. .
If anything, it was a great first experience sleeping in the van with a low of -7 and a top of -1. We are happy to report we stayed warm over night in our snug bed..even when our water, windows and everything else froze! .
I really enjoy listening to audiobooks as I walk. So you can imagine when I saw this sign I was excited to call Mum, and download another book.... probably should have cleaned my face before calling 🤷♀️ There’s a link to my adventuring reading list in the bio. Sorry not sorry!
