One of the most incredible places I’ve ever been is the Pacific Northwest. I first visited Oregon when I was in high school, and I want to Multnomah Falls but only went about ¼ of the way up (still amazing!).
Years later, I went back to Multnomah and wanted to hike the whole way up. I’m not a hiker. I wore tennis shoes and yoga pants. I was not in shape to walk 2 miles straight uphill. But I did it. And if you ever get the chance, please do it, too, because it is completely stunning.
Hood River, Oregon
Hiking Wahclella and Multnomah Falls in typical PNW weather. The great thing is that nobody seems phased by rainy weather. The trailhead was full of cars and many people were out hiking as if it were a bright, sunny day. -
Make the best of it.
GUNMAN DISARMED: Dramatic surveillance video captured the moment a coach disarmed a student with a #shotgun inside a high school in #Portland#Oregon ,with the coach then embracing the student, identified as #AngelGranadosDiaz ,who was reportedly having a mental health crisis at the time and has since pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon. In the video released by the #Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, #ParkroseHighSchool football coach #KeanonLowe disarms and embraces a student armed with a shotgun on campus.
18 year old Angel Granados-Diaz, brought the gun to the school off Northeast Shaver Street on May 17th. The attorney’s office says the gun was loaded with a single round and that Granados was experiencing a mental health crisis.
The video released Friday shows Lowe embrace Granados for about 10 minutes, at one point sitting with Granados-Diaz in the hall before police arrive.
Lowe previously said those moments were emotional and he felt compassion for Granados. "It was a really emotional time," Lowe said. "Emotional time for him, for me. In that time, I felt compassion for him. A lot of times when you're young, you don't realize what you're doing until it's over." Granados last week pleaded guilty to gun charges in connection with the incident and was sentenced to three years of probation.
🍂 Multnomah Falls🍁 Everything was so lush and green! Again, didn’t anticipate a hike as we decided to go on this trip without looking anything up in advance (definitely heightens the excitement when you see something for the FIRST time), but we made it to the top in our sweatshirts and slip on shoes, sweaty and sore after all the walking we’ve done on this trip so far, but we made it! We both decided for our next trip, no matter where we go, we’re bringing hiking boots 😂 This was definitely touristy; however, I’d still highly recommend coming here as it’s one of the most beautiful waterfalls we’ve ever seen! #multnomahfalls#multnomah#waterfall
A crazy idea is only stupid until you pull it off, then it’s amazing!!!😜
