Shoulder and scapular movement are key in any type of upper body exercise. Making sure they are moving properly will help decrease the chance of impingement, rotator cuff issues, and other injuries in and around the area.
.
Here are a few tips to get the area moving.👇🏼
1️⃣ Banded shoulder distraction. Adding a bit of tension on the resistance band, relaxing the shoulder, and moving it into internal and external rotation.
2️⃣ Scapular retraction exercise. You can begin this exercise without using weight and letting your arm hang down, then adding some weight to tolerance. Without rotating the shoulder forwards, you want to retract and squeeze the shoulder blade back. This will get the scapular moving in protraction (forwards as the weight pulls the arm down) and retraction (backwards as you pull the weight up).

#summershapechallengen inspiroimana viikot ovat täyttyneet treenistä; nyrkkeilystä ja salilla käymisestä. Hikeä, viikoittain kovenevia painoja, lihasten loppuunajamista.  Treenien jälkeinen palautuminen alkoi hidastua. Lihakset olivat välipäivienkin jälkeen kireän tuntuiset. Eniten täyden palautumisen puutteen huomasin thainyrkkeilytreeneissä.

Olin jo laiminlyönyt kehoni huollon kaikki lentokaudet; venyttely, palauttava liikunta, kävelyt ja urheiluhieronnat... Millonhan viimeeksi ennen tätä #summershapechallengen alkua olin tehnyt yhtäkään yllämainittua?

Päätin, että asialle on tehtävä jotain. Bookkasin itselleni Maran urheiluhieronnan Sisugymillä ensimmäistä kertaa kaksi viikko sitten. En koskaan kokenut itse että urheilisin niin että tarvitsisin urheiluhierojaa, kunnes Mara näytti miten jumissa olinkaan. Ja nyt oli aika tulla uudestaan hoitoon.

Mitä opin jo ensimmäisellä hoitokerralla; urheiluhieronta ei ole vain  huippu-urheilijoille. Teitpä istumatyötä tai treenaisitpa huipputasolla, lihakset vaativat jatkuvaa huoltamista, jotta voisit hyvin. Kun keho voi hyvin, jaksat arjen askareissa paremmin.

Varaan pian taas uuden hieronnan, jotta saisin pitkään vaivanneet jumit pois pidemmäksi aikaa. Näin voin nauttia treenaamisesta jälleen ilman pelkoa että voima hiipuvat, hermosäryt palaavat ja raajat puutuvat.

  • Laying down with muscle pain, I’m going to read,  for the rest of the night. I grabbed one of my journals from last year, and going to read that, then read my new book I got today. Then, I continue to read some of my library book evermore by Alyson Noel . I started it and I love it. Can’t show it, because it is a library book. #reading #musclepain #readingoldjournals #bookstagram
