Stewed beans served with some veggies, rice, and an avocado 🥑😍
2 can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 tsp sazon (find a vegetable based one either in the international aisle or by the company @eatloisa)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 red onion, diced
1 can rotel (or store brand diced tomatoes with green chili peppers)
2 tsp capers (optional)
2 cups veggie broth 👏🏽
Add onion to a pot and stir until fragrant. Add in seasonings and a splash of water and sauté until fragrance developed, about 2 minutes. Add in beans, tomatoes and capers. Stir to incorporate well and add in veggie broth. Bring mixture to a simmer and reduce heat to low. Stir every few minutes to avoid sticking to the bottom of the pan and allow to cook for 15-20 minutes. With a back of a wooden spoon, lightly mash beans to thicken broth. Feel free to adjust liquid more to your liking. Remove from stove and stir. Serve with rice and extra veggies. 🥗 Makes about 4 servings. If cooking in instapot (set manual to 17minutes with all ingredients listed).
☕️THE BEST COFFEE REPLACEMENT👌🏼
without the side effects of coffee (jitters&crash, anxiety, poor sleep...) It’s called “MUD WATER”
My personal health transformation journey involved giving up coffee a year ago and replacing my morning energizing drink with various types of delicious green teas. Which I love.
Until last week, a friend gave me this “mud water”, as a gift for our coaching session together🙏🏻🤗 merci @ingridzisermann
I have taken this delicious drink every single morning since then and I absolutely love it!
@drinkmudwtr contains adaptogen mushrooms, spices and cacao powders, to keep you energised in a healthier way than coffee does.
Some of them you’ve probably heard of already:
#lionsmane (mental performance) #cordyceps (physical performance) #reishi (recovery and immunity) #chaga (overall health) #turmeric (inflammation) #cacao (mood)
Mixed with masala chai, vanilla and sea salt to give it this beautiful taste, you can literally sip all day (mix with hit water). I am not saying you should give up coffee. But coffee could be a trigger or aggravator of many conditions.
High cortisol - which is our stress hormone- can lead to a number of symptoms like feeling “tired and wired”, difficulty falling/staying asleep, increased belly fat, sugar cravings, nervousness, high blood pressure, decreased fertility..
And coffee is often one of the many culprits of high cortisol...
Again everybody is different and I live with somebody who can take 3 coffees a day and slee like a baby.. But I didn t have that chance😉
“RF: You reported that #MariaSabina lamented divulging the secret of the #mushrooms to you because many more foreigners followed...
RGW: Not only foreigners, but Mexicans also came to explore it. Mexicans could have learned about it on their own, in the friars’ accounts of the sixteenth century, which are fascinating. Those old friars! ... In 1953 we took part in a velada, as it has come to be called in English. A “midnight vigil” is what it means, or a “vigil at night.” The mushrooms are taken only at night. You do not talk about them in the square or in mixed company. You talk about it only when you are at home and you are one-to-one with your hostess or some other person. That is the way you talk about them. That was Maria Sabina’s dismay. There were so many people that they became common. People misbehaved in her velada. They would drink alcohol. Think of it! Drinking alcohol and taking the mushrooms together! Shocking! Not that I am opposed to alcohol...
RF: Though Maria Sabina may have thought that the mushroom velada was ruined due to the intrusion of the white people, another way to see it is that the mushroom was rescued from obscurity. Many more now have the opportunity to learn about this.” #robertforte , ‘A Conversation with #RGordonWasson ’ #entheogens#psilocybin#magicmushrooms#mazatec#subproject58#psychedelichistory#sacredplants#brujapsicodelica
