Here are the “Dirty Dozen” that you should try to buy organic if you can:
- Strawberries 🍓
- Apples 🍎
- Nectarines
- Peaches 🍑
- Celery
- Grapes 🍇
- Cherries 🍒
- Spinach
- Tomatoes 🍅
- Sweet bell peppers
- potatoes 🥔
- Cucumbers 🥒

✅ i,also recommend organic leafy greens and hot peppers (they don't meet the qualifications for Dirty Dozen, BUT the pesticides found on them are particularly concerning👇🏻

I suggest buying them organic if you eat a lot of them, or AT LEAST eating them cooked instead of raw. Or find a trustworthy farmer or supplier.

TIP 😉: buying organic isn’t more important than eating a diet rich in fruits and veggies because the benefits of eating fruits and veggies still outweigh eating commercial or non-organic food.

For many of us price is a top consideration when buying food,so if u can't afford to buy only organic veggies, are there some organic ones u should prioritise over others?

My answer: it depends on your reason for wanting to buy organic produce in the first place😃 things to consider:
.
❌ organic does not mean more NUTRITIOUS
❌Organic does not contain more antioxidants and can still contain same sugar content like the conventional produce .
✅ it is true that Organic Produce are not exposed directly to synthetic pesticides but are exposed to natural pesticides that,if not used in moderation,can still be toxic to humans
✅ there are some veggies and fruits in the “dirty dozen” list that are PREFERRED to be bought organic (optional)
✅ And Produce that are generally clean or not exposed to over usage of pesticides and contain less residues called the “clean 15” .
Stay tuned for more information about the lists dirty dozen and clean fifteen.

Keep in mind,always,that buying organic is a personal choice. If you buy conventional from trusted sources or trusted local farmers it will be great for you.

Your body has acceptable limits for everything but after all we are exposed to toxicity from the air we breath,the food we eat,the stress as well 🙂
