Back in my old Kentucky home today and everything has been magical! Congrats Natalie and Eric! So many happy tears and big laughs with this group. Oh yes and did I mention bourbon bar?!?! 🙈😁😂😍 #heyyymrscarter#myoldkyhome
I just love this first floor bath. So regal with the mahogany bead board and brassy touches. Not much to do here in my opinion. We’ll clean it up, add some new lighting and flooring, maybe a new vanity later. Peep the original door and hand painted cabinets in the video.
Y’all. It’s absolute perfection.
A trendy, completely modernized home! Brand new from top to bottom, this charming home is hip and fresh from the outside in boasting new siding, roof, HVAC, hot water heater, floors, dry wall, fixtures, doors and windows. This little spot in the branch. Might be a little deeper than I said it was in the video. Don't ask me how I found out... LOL 😂
Antique Cast Iron Mailbox 📮💌
I love our original, Victorian pedestal mail box and that it is still in use. All mail is still hand carried in the historic subdivision. Y’all these people work hard walking miles daily in the snow or rain to bring us our mail — much respect to these ladies and gents!
I sat in amazement of this little waterfall. The power and the flow of the water that was coming down this was truly amazing. Not to many people in our community don't even realize this waterfall is even around. And yet it's right beside the road. I called this waterfowl Piney Branch Falls #2 .
This is a little waterfall and Livingston Kentucky. It's approximately about 25 ft tall. And about 3 or 4 feet wide. The landowner's name is Clayton. Therefore I called this fall Clayton's Falls. He said he didn't mind for people to come and visit it. But stop and ask him first. Or you might get some led in your buttocks if you don't. It's on skyline road in Rockcastle County Kentucky. Once you pull them to this road the falls or in a curve on your right. About a 10th mile up the road so not very far. Clayton lives in the house on the left. He said this fall normally doesn't go dry but this past year it come to a twinkle with a drought that we had.
Went out looking for new waterfowls a couple of days ago. And I came across this one. I couldn't believe that it was right beside the road. God is good all the time God is good. Blessed be his name.

Hey y’all. We’re the Johnson family. Here’s our story. In 2015, in a hectic two-week period before we got married, we totally redid our first home. It was in the country, had all the mountain cabin vibes and even a jacuzzi tub; but was on a little under 2 acres and had no garage or shop space. We redid the house very generically with the intention of flipping it and moving much sooner than we did but.... God’s timing not ours, right? Last year, within months after bringing home our sweet baby girl, we moved from all those first big projects and precious family memories to a 50+ year old ranch/farmhouse. It is not huge nor was it decorated for this century haha, but it is complete with more than 10 acres, lots of woods, a creek, beautiful wildlife, also super close to the lake..... Basically the whole 9 yards. We are pretty excited about the land because we can just go in the backyard to teach our children about God’s creation and to help raise them more how we were — nature and skills, over electronics.
This Instagram is serving as a renovation and home decor blog/scrapbook as we make this house our forever home. Flipping houses has always appealed to us but we are pretty excited to finally have a home that we are going to customize just for us. Let’s be honest, we really hate moving so we don’t want to do that again anyway. Also on this page, you will notice we are all about saving money (what’s up, @amazon) and DIY projects (I see you @pinterest). Absolutely nothing against contractors — they work hard and need to make money too — but I don’t think we’ve ever hired a contractor for anything. We genuinely like to try to do things on our own..... call it a challenge maybe?

Hey y’all, Nick and Sarah Seiber are the dreamers behind this page. We are from TN and KY. We co-owned and operated Tactical Lawn Care, LLC. 2011-2017 in the Bluegrass area. Our first house was a 90s fixer upper in Wilmore, KY — that we learned a lot from. We’ve been living the tiny life in TX and NM for the last few years and just moved back to KY this fall. We are real, imperfect, rough-around-the-edges, Jesus loving, and best kinda neighbors to have. I think our neighbors on Belmont were relieved when we bought this house due to the years of neglect, and are graciously putting up with the construction zone.
