  • Reflect. Chase being good. Align with those whom you respect. Dump those whom you don't. Be with all those that make you a better you. Oh, and also chase the open road. You're goals will come to fruition so much faster.

Oh let's go back to the start

  • (3/7) I created a series of photos of the leftovers of what should have been hotel Atlante del Sol, in the very Southwest of Lanzarote. In the next 7 days, I will share my favorite images. They're raw and moody and the series shows how unfinished luxury for some, became a primary life necessity for others.
Urban exploring is something that I really enjoy and I was amazed by what I found here. My guess is that it became a hide-out for homeless people. The rooms were nothing more than concrete boxes but people made makeshift doors and windows. Even kids lived here, judging from a cradle in one of the shots and toys that were lying around.

The abandoned ruin is the result of an unsuccessful product of a German investor who set out to build a hotel and create a golf course. The building is an unfinished and unused work since 1973.
Since 1991, the area is protected and prevents building, so the structure will probably be demolished when they figure out who's going to pay for it.
The area is officially fenced in now, but with a bit of effort, I was able to get in and spent half a day shooting there.

Second on our list...
Susan Walker.
