  • Dear Friends of the Foundation,

My name is Kim Brammer, and it’s an honor to introduce myself to you as the new Executive Director of the Georgia Chapter. I’m humbled and excited to lead this important organization into its next chapter.
Many of you have already welcomed me to the organization, and I am grateful. Your stories of living with IBD are incredibly motivating. I know that, together, we can make a difference in the lives of all those affected by IBD.
Your engagement with the chapter is a key part of its success. I hope you will continue to stay engaged and to stand next to us as we move toward accomplishing our mission to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. #newexecutivedirector #nonprofit #crohns #colitis #ibd

  • Peace. I was walking through my nearest grocery store earlier and saw this on the front page of the @pittsburghcourier. I wanna send a HUGE congratulations to Dr. Joylette Portlock on becoming the first Executive Director of any environmental/sustainability/green organization in Pittsburgh! Knockin Down Doors 🚪!!! Breaking Green Glass Ceilings! Getting some of this green pie we’ve been missing out on for most of this century, when this green revolution really jumped into gear! She’s opening the door for more of us (Original people, or people “of color”) in the environmental justice/sustainability/energy-efficiency/renewable energy community to be in positions of leadership in Pittsburgh; especially when we’re experiencing disproportionate health effects from the continued pollution in our air/water, due to companies like the Clairton Coke Works, the fracking industry, and the soon to to be opened Shell Cracker Plant in Monaca, PA. Willfully, this will have a domino effect in Pittsburgh, as it aims at being 100% fossil fuel free by 2030... this is a wonderful advancement towards that goal. #DrJoylettePortlock #SustainablePittsburgh #NewExecutiveDirector #Boom💣 #undernewmanagement #diversity #inclusion #equity #sustainability #power #PittsburghCourier BlackManGreenPlan #international
