Do you ever feel like you’ve ruined all your progress because you’ve had one less nutritious meal that wasn’t planned for? .
I hear you! I’ve 🙋🏻♀️been there before.
I would have a cookie 🍪, feel guilty 😩 then end up eating ½ the pack.
And then I’d stress & beat myself up about it… which was probably doing me more harm than good.
Research shows stress may wreak havoc on your metabolism... We’ve known for some time that stress is connected to weight gain, because a high level of the stress hormone cortisol has been shown to up appetite, drive cravings for junk food. Let’s make things clear. There isn’t one single food on this earth that will make you gain weight. Its your TOTAL CALORIES overall.
If you are consistently eating in a SURPLUS (more calories than your body is burning) than you will gain weight.
If you are eating in a DEFICIT (eating less calories than you’re burning) than you will lose weight. It doesn’t matter if your eating salads 🥗or eating pizza 🍕its your overall calories intake.
I🙋🏻♀️like to follow the 80/20 rule 80% of my foods are from whole 🥦 nutritious foods and 20% of my foods are from less nutritious fun 🍩 foods.
All foods fit in moderation.
This is just a reminder: DON’T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF.
Give yourself credit ✅ for the fact that you are trying to do better by leading a HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE.
This journey should be a fun one.
One that actually makes you feel good 😌. Remember it’s what you do consistently that matter.
I'm a hard working dad with two boys and a husband to a lady who loves me for some crazy reason!
I started a workout program 3 months ago, that I am able to do from home on my own time. These are my results, but the results you dont see are I have way more energy to do fun stuff with my active boys and my mental health has improved a great deal!! I really do have a better outlook on life now and I want to continue to grow.
This is just a stepping stone for myself to feeling better physically mentally and emotionally!!

Whilst I have been MIA on social media recently, I've continued to be consistent. Not over indulging too much, at least doing some movement for 15 minutes. Keeping mindful.
This body I'm toning is a lot stronger. I can feel each exercise and where its meant to concentrate. My posture is better, my back pain or aches have disappeared.
My vision is becoming my reality. ❤

I finally got the strength to “change” the things that I didn’t enjoy in my life.. 7 years difference between these 2 pictures. That first picture seems like a lifetime ago. The stay at home mom struggling with depression, codependency, self hate, no self esteem, wanting desperately to come out of my shell, and trying to keep a failing marriage alive. To a strong, independent, self confident, active, sober, genuinely happy, hard working single mom whose just beginning to live the best years of her life. Week 1 done and dusted!
I’m so ready for week 2 and smashing out more goals. Last week my goal was a 2kg loss being the first week and I achieved that. This week I’m going to be focussing on my food again, making sure I follow the plan and to up my water intake and drink my 3L per day. I will be aiming for 10k steps per day and a weightloss goal of 500g - 1kg

There is stillness beneath me, a truly quiet, a place beyond space and time. It helps me reconnect after being so disconnected. This modern world moves fast, it drags you along with it, always finding myself running at an unnatural speed. Forcing myself through the world hurts me, so I take a step back, pause, and recognize. There is stillness beneath me, a true quiet. It took time to access this place, but once I did, I realized it was just me there. Nobody else, at first it was scary, but after a while, it grew to become a place I would visit frequently. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today I invite you to visit your secret place, buried deep within your heart. Take a moment, to disconnect from the speed induced capitalist fuelled society. Take a moment from the neurosis, the anxiety, the pain, and retreat. I invite myself to let go of gain, of taking, of pushing, of forcing. I put down my sword of productivity and rest upon the tree of yoga, and stare upon the clouds of meditation. I see before me the water of the present moment.
I invite myself to simply halt this mindless, intention-less, heartless pursuit of importance and success. Let’s go back to our quiet place, even for a minute or a second. Some would say this quiet place is actually your True home. You and I, we left this pure place for the outside world and made the mistake of calling the outside “home”.

Sausage & Egg McMuffin
Breakfast was absolutely the best Slimming World friendly version of the Sausage & Egg Mcmuffin I have made using an Asda wholemeal muffin (HEB), an Asda pork sausage patty (3 syns each), a runny yolk poached egg and an Asda light cheese single (1/3 HEA per slice). Being a 'meal deal' breakfast I had an Asda hash brown aswell (2 syns each) making this delicious Mcmuffin 5 syns and so worth it.
