I found this quote the other day and it really resonated with me “Taking care of yourself is the most powerful way to begin to take care of others” 🙌 Here is to making more ME time in 2020 so I can show up as my best self - who’s with me?
The first few weeks to months after having a baby can be emotionally rough for a lot of women. Some moms are battling their own struggles in silence. Some are dealing with post partum depression, anxiety, lack of confidence, etc. It's an overall delicate time period for many.
My struggle?? I deal with an extremely overwhelming sadness and sometimes anger (not towards my child) while breastfeeding. It only lasts for about one to two minutes and then it passes and I forget that I was even bothered to begin with. It feels like a dark cloud comes in and takes over. I would literally find myself getting an attitude with people who spoke to me while I breastfed and I didn't fully understand why. It caused me to stop breastfeeding my first son at 3 months old because I didn't know what was happening. It's so hard to explain it but look up "D-MER" if you want to learn more. In case you're wondering, it is NOT postpartum depression. Thankfully, as he gets older, the feeling is gradually fading. I say all this to say to be kind, be patient, and be supportive of the new moms around you because you never know what they're going through. Forever grateful for my cicrle because they hold me down!❤

"It’s been a rough week around our house.
And last night was a give the baby over to your partner to handle bedtime so you can have a timeout to cry in the shower kind of a night. Afterwards I took a deep breath, called my mom, kissed my sleeping baby and reached out to my online breastfeeding group. After frantically reading up on leaps, teething and breast refusal I called it a day.
And you know what... Today has been so much easier. Nothing changed except my perspective.
The thing about motherhood (and life in general) is everyday is an opportunity to start over. Sometimes you have to fall to pieces so you can pick yourself back up again.
The changes and transitions come at you unexpectedly.
The first time a new struggle arises it’s upsetting and you feel unprepared and inadequate.
Then you feel frustrated or guilty or sad or whatever negative emotion decides to consume you that day.
What I’m starting to realize is the next time that new thing happens I’m better equipped and eventually I figure it out. And that’s empowering. It’s easy to post pretty photos on Instagram all day but the majority of the time life with a new baby is an ever changing rollercoaster.
So if you’re having a rough time just know tomorrow will be better, it always is. And future self, please refer back to this post. Everything is temporary, try to revel in the goodness and breathe through the struggle. 😉❤️" ⠀⠀

One of the hallmarks of postpartum depression is intrusive, critical, and hopeless thoughts. Women with PPD are plagued by these thoughts. And when mom is in the depths of PPD, all of these thoughts and feelings feel like the Truth, with a capital T. It feels as if there is no way out of this misery and that even trying to get help is pointless.
Treatment, whether in the form of psychotherapy or medication, helps loosen up these negative thoughts. It enables your brain to have some space between these thoughts and yourself. So that you have a little bit of room to question them. For women with mild to moderate PPD, psychotherapy can be enough, but for women with moderate to severe PPD, antidepressant medication along with therapy may he needed.
But the good news is that treatment works. These cruel thoughts get less loud. They may not go away completely, but they are less sticky and last for less time. Mom is able to have positive feelings about her baby and her new life. She can appreciate that though right now life is incredibly difficult, it will not always feel this way.

Just had to document Mom and Dad’s first night out after the babies! 🖤 It was a longggg week over here (mommin’ is really hard sometimes), but grandma and grandpa came to town and gave us the night off last night!
It felt so good to change out of my normal mom uniform (aka spit up covered workout clothes 😅) and in to something a little more fun. I’m finishing up week two using the @rpstrength app, and I’m feeling good!! Even though I’m only down a few pounds, eating healthy consistently just makes me feel so much better overall. It’s crazy what a difference it makes when you don’t snack on candy all day long 😂 Even though, yes, I’m doing RP right now, I made sure to fully enjoy our special night last night. I am all about balance, even during a cut, because I know I can get back to business at the next meal.
I didn’t realize how much we needed that break! I am feeling so recharged and ready for the week now ☺️ If you haven’t tried the new RP app - you’re missing out! You can use code Molly10 to score a great discount on your monthly membership.

Mama....This time in your life might feel really HARD.
In fact, This time in your life might feel much harder than you planned.
But it’s just a SEASON.
The thing about Seasons...
Is that they always Change.
Don’t forget mama.
This WILL CHANGE
Youll wake up one day and your baby WILL be one.
Your toddler WILL be potty trained.
Your teenager WILL be driving.
This WILL CHANGE.
So just BREATHE and allow yourself to BE in today.
God is here with you. ❤️
Just as sure as the sun will rise and set.
This WILL CHANGE.
You might look at your friends taking long solo trips with their spouse.
You might see other moms finding time alone.
You might see other people building new businesses and changing the world.
....And you’re just changing diapers and drowning in dishes.
But this is just a different season for you.
And while this season may not be your favorite, or it may feel dark and cold sometimes, there IS beauty in it.
Just like icicles, snowflakes and white capped trees are beautiful in the winter. (Even if you hate winter like me 🤣)
Just like falling leaves, crisp long afternoons, and baskets full of apples are beautiful in the fall.
This might not be the easiest season mama.
But it’s beautiful too.
You make it beautiful JUST BY LIVING in it.
Give yourself the gift of finding beauty in this hard season.
(Even if that’s just finally getting a shower 🙄🤪)
You’re doing it mama!!
You’re living through this season.
You’re doing it mama!!
God is with you.
And when you can find GOD in all things, it makes all things beautiful.
So ask yourself ...Where did you find the beauty in YOUR season today?
Eccl :1 & 11
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven....
11 ....He hath made every thing beautiful in his time.
****tag a mama you love*****

Things you quickly learn as new mom:
1 toots, for the first time in life are actually cute
2. You thought it was impossible not to lose adult socks? Try not losing tiny baby ones.
3. I hope you like reheated foods 🙃 make that double or triple reheated food.
4. Babies turn into angels when they sleep
5. I’ve never seen someone go from happy and smiling to psycho so fast 😅 hangry is so real
6. Babies are so slippery when wet
7. You wonder why God made you with only two hands instead of 3 or 4
Did I miss anything ?! What is something you learned as a mama?!

What are you sewing into your life?
Do you spend time pondering and reflecting on all of the good things in life? All the blessings?
That is sewing seeds of hope in your heart❤
When we focus and spend our mental energy on the negatives, we are only sewing seeds of bitterness, depression, hopelessness, etc.
And none of us WANT to feel those things if we are honest with ourselves.
So spend some time today focusing in the GOOD, on the BLESSINGS.
Journal 3-5 things everyday that you are grateful for
First thing in the morning
I promise your day will be so much happier ❤ :)
Maternity/parental leave isn’t a vacation. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But it’s important and precious and every parent deserves it. Link in bio to read about parental leave and what it’s really like. (Or to just send to your co-worker who scoffs at your “vacation” you’re about to take.)
Confidence didn’t come naturally to me..
It took continued recognition of my mistakes.
It is being able to grow from them.
It is being happy with myself on where I am now, what I’ve been able to overcome, and where I’m going.
All of this adds up to be confident enough to encourage confidence in others 💕 LET’S GET IT!
Good Morning Beautiful!⠀
I want to share something with you. ⠀
For years I have held myself back, held myself back for showing up authentically on social media.⠀
I just wanted to hide. I didn’t want people to know the real me. I was scared to show my true self. I have gotten to a point in my life where I have realized that the people that are meant to stay will stay and the people who are meant to go will go and to not have any attachment towards it.⠀
This instagram is an authentic space to share and a space made from pure love, a space of no judgement and a space to realize you are not alone.⠀
If you know any women who are feeling isolated, who are hurting or needing just a little more love in their lives, please do me a favor and tag them. Tag women who needs to see this. We are not meant to do this alone.⠀
I am here for you.⠀
I love you because without you the world wouldn’t be the same❤️⠀

The reason why we created Snug Bub USA. My son Nihar 🥰🥰 He is the sole reason we thought of our products and why we wanted to create products that save parents $$$ and time.
When we went to shop for clothes for him, we observed before we could even remove the tags he was outgrowing his clothes. Which is why we made our expandable baby clothes. Clothes shouldn't be made to last for only few months - they should be designed to last! Made of materials that are 100% baby safe and superior in quality.
Which is why we created our stain-proof line too. After buying those cute clothes maintaining them is a problem. The hours of laundry is not fun for a new mother struggling to keep her sanity. Bibs might be an answer but carrying a bib everywhere is sometimes not possible. Plus more bibs means more laundry. Our stain-proof jumpsuits / dresses/ rompers are to help you minimize your laundry woes.
Yes, you have to still have to wash/ buy clothes 😁But our products help you gain your sanity and money back!
Currently that resolution to cook more is getting a little more steam than the resolution to read more 🤷🏻♀️. Freeland isn’t mad about it 😂.
This week included:
▪️Simple chicken salad from @kalekouture ▪️Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (per usual) from #runfastcookfasteatslow cookbook.
▪️Chick fil a knock offs from @sixsistersstuff (thanks for sharing @kalekouture )
▪️Sweet potato fries and sweet potato waffles from #runfastcookfasteatslow .
▪️Also attempted @thewholefooddiary bagels but they did not go as planned and I think I need more oil in my homemade nut butter 🥜 ... anyone have any tips to get it creamy?!
Clearly I have a thing for carbs... old habits die hard as a runner 🏃🏽♀️, ya know 😉. Anyone prepping today? I need ideas!
