  • Here is a sneaky peak and update of what is currently going on with the unit for those who care and eagerly but patiently waiting for Elite Wrapping to open. Working long into the early hours of the morning have been spent cleaning prepping and now laying the new floor. Elite Wrapping opening soon! #newsouthwales #hexis #3m #newport

  • [Recap Ep 1/6] Welcome to the first episode of ‘Provisional to Proficient Teaching in NSW’~ A series where I’ll be going through the steps to becoming a fully accredited teacher in NSW (I have just begun this process as well!) .
Episode 1: Overview of the steps
.
.
Step 1: The first step in completing your teaching accreditation is to collect AND annotate evidence. Evidence should be collected throughout your teaching and highlight the different areas of the profession e.g. the curriculum, behaviour management, assessment and so on. I’ll be going into more dept and unpacking the types of evidence you can use in the next episode and what “annotating” involves.
.
.
.
.
Step 2: The second thing that needs to be completed is an observation report. Once you have spoken to your Principal, Deputy, AP or coordinator allow them to find you a suitable supervisor who will give you feedback on your evidence. They will also need to observe one of your lessons! (This is usually only done after you have collected and annotated your evidence)
.
.
.
.
Step 3: Once you have completed these two things, the third step is for your supervisor to write up an Accreditation Report. .
.
The Observation report and the Accreditation report can both be found on the NESA website which is AWESOME.
.
.
.
The most important thing in your journey is to talk to the relevant colleagues at your school who will be able to guide you through this journey. Know that you’re not alone 🌷
