I was jolted out of my comfort zone today, when for the first time in my life, my breakfast was served like this! It made me realised just how much I’ve taken things for granted. The on-going emergency water disruptions has left millions without water supply, without any prior notice. When God made earth and everything in it, He gave man dominion over it but He also commissioned us to take care of it. We, as stewards, should take responsibility to preserve Mother Earth and its resources for the next generations. I know I alone can’t make a difference but let’s start somewhere and if everyone of us start caring, we can make that change. Let’s not waste water!

Crossed through the Tropic of Capricorn this morning and then headed into....the middle of nowhere. When someone asks what we saw in Africa I can honestly say a whole lot of nothing. Miles and miles of nothing. It’s all fun and games until you run out of water— which we in fact did when one of our 2 gallons of water broke. Haha classic us. We also went to 2 “watering holes”, which had no water. Poor animals. Dehydration is getting to everyone. Not to worry we did pack plenty of gin! After a lovely dinner of roasted veggies and raw meat for Bryden we fell asleep under the stars covered in dust, sweat, and sunscreen, because no we have not been showering #desert#nowater#dehydrationnation#diedrate#gin#noshowersnoproblem
