Escaping into a good book because I have 10 minutes before daycare pickup! #havekindlewilltravel#ad Time is precious now, so I try to dive into my @amazonkindle whenever I can. Even if it's only for 10 minutes, it's 10 minutes of ME time which I find is really important for the emotional ride of dealing with a topsy turvy toddler!
My Kindle is my BFF and with its built-in adjustable light I can use it during the day (at the park!) or at night (snuggled up in bed with my cats!) You can get your own BFF Kindle for less than $100.
Who else takes a few minutes to read in the park?
Interested in Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency? @BenMezrich, author of the book behind the film 'The Social Network', drops by the park's outdoor Reading Room to dish on his new book 'Bitcoin Billionaires: A True Story of Genius, Betrayal, and Redemption', the story of how the Winklevoss twins became billionaires from Bitcoin. Alex Gallafent, designer and former BBC/Public Radio correspondent hosts.
This Wednesday, June 19, at 12:30pm. Free and open to the public. Stick around for a book signing and Q&A. Books are available to purchase at the event from retail partner @kinokuniyausa. #bryantpark#nycparks#bitcoins#bitcoinbillionaires#cryptocurrency#bryantparkreadingroom

The GreenThumb Youth Leadership Council Team held a Food Security workshop at beautiful Discovery Community Garden in Jamaica, Queens last Saturday. There was a great turn out and everyone enjoyed the interactive activities that were available to help attendees learn more about food security in the area. The favorite activity was the interactive role playing game, where the table pretended to be a local organization that helps to guarantee food security. Thank you to everyone that attended!
Please join us at the next Food Security workshop this Saturday, June 22nd, starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Summer Garden Festival at Mosholu Playground. Learn the basics about food security and the various components that help to lessen inequalities that are created by food insecurity. Attendance is free and open to everyone. #greenthumbgrows#nycparks#ylc2019
We didn’t let a little rain stop us from having the Groundbreaking for the Parks Without Borders Project today. We are so excited that #vancortlandtpark was selected as 1 of 8 parks for this program. Can’t wait to see our new entrance when it’s done next year. Special thank you to our good friend at @vchmnyc for taking some of these photos.
