Crispy crunchy fried chicken is love.

It's one of those few sweets I'm a die hard fan of!😍 What makes it so desirable is the layered goodness of that amazingly flavored cream(Malai) sandwiched between two flat rasagola pieces(or just covered upon each face of it), soaked in delicious cardamom flavoured sugar syrup!🤤 .

Location- Minchu Chacha sarsatia shop, Sambalpur
Price- Rs. 8 per piece
It's SARSATIA in the frame. A 150 year old family recipe which is exclusive to Sambalpur. The use of Ganjeer branches in making this dish not only makes it extra special but also difficult to make.
Truly speaking I never knew about about this item until my friend @eatwithbinny brought it to the lime light with one of her beautiful posts. Inspired from whole hard work she had done to explore this item as well as the place where it is made, I decided to make a short visit.
Unfortunately I was late and the making for the day was already over. But I got my hands on some freshly made Sarsatia. And the best I could do was to make this video.
It was whole lot of an mixed feelings and experience from going and getting this item to making this video..
It did remind me of a funny story old Odia story. There were 2 monkeys fighting for a piece of cake and were unable to divide it equally amongst themselves. Then out of nowhere a wise cat came in to solve the issue. It ate a piece of cake and tried dividing the rest. But it was unequal again. So the cat ate again and divided again. But u equal again. Finally the cat had eaten all the cake and both the monkeys were left with nothing. .
In today's world do not be a monkey in the hands of any cat. Be wise enough to stand, speak and judge for yourself.
