Why the name “Ms. Tatiyana Neal?”
Well what took me the longest was coming up with a name for my blog. I couldn’t think of anything nice, cute or catchy enough that I thought would fit. It wasn’t until I started figuring out want I wanted my blog to serve as, that I was finally able to settle on a name.
I chose to use my name, because it represents embracing my journey through life and the long process of learning to love and accept myself. I want my name to stand for something, and I know one day it will. This blog is my creative outlet to share pieces of me and grow with you all.

“I’m walking in your Victory, cause your Power is within me.” 🙏🏾
Can’t believe I’m finally here. This journey has been bittersweet, yet molded me into the Man I am today. I’ve been fighting through this degree for what seems like forever. It’s crazy because last year around this time I told my Mom I wanted to withdraw from school, and start plan B. But I’m here. I did it. I made it through. Forever grateful for God being by my side every step of the way. Delayed, but not denied! 🎓

4 years later, here we are ✨ 17 days and counting until that English degree is mine 🎓💙🦁
Today was a big day! Capstone presentation day! We had been working all semester on our project and it finally came to a close today. As with all group projects, we had our bumps in the road, but overall, it went smoothly and we worked together well. I cannot thank Nathan and Sierra enough for their involvement. We have had classes together for two consecutive semesters now, and we have been supportive of each other the whole way. I couldn’t have done it without them!
Another note. Dr. Garland White. What can I say about this man? Other than I often referred to him as the professor that “I always just want to squeeze.” I have had classes with him for three semesters now, starting with Deviant Behavior, then Animals and Society, and finally the Capstone Research Project. This was a class I dreaded and feared. Dr. White made this class fun and a great learning experience. I have been blessed to have been taught by someone who makes his material interesting, impactful and fun, but most of all, I love how engaging he is with his students. This is a professor who I will carry in my memory and my heart for the rest of my life. Thank you for the journey, sir.
