A small highlights summary of our weekend trip to Manchester. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Manchester Science and Industry Museum @scienceandindustrymuseum - fantastic museum across a few buildings. The main section is in the old warehouse next to the train station, which is also open as part of the museum exhibition. Next door there is an old market hall, currently displaying a large collection of retro cars and plane.
2. Manchester Art Gallery @mcrartgallery - I loved how fine art (mainly pre-Raphaelites) was mixed with contemporary art. There is a small work by Banksy and a “Homesick” by Benoit Aubard. Aubard is a young artist, who was selected to be featured as part of the gallery’s display.
3. Tasting lunch by Eddie Shepherd @eddiesheps - 12-course vegetarian meal served at chefs’ house by the chef himself. All food was Micheline star level and Eddie was a very welcoming host.
Have you been to Manchester? Any places you would recommend for the next time?
Love Lola ❤️
It seems like the time between Lurk Sessions is getting further and further apart. This shot was from a recent Ocala session with the infamous @thee_jessejames from @the_culturecurators . Jesse recently became a board member over at the @maxocala so we decided to explore the city around the old train station. This area of town is going through a major revitalization process with a lot of support from the art community. If you haven’t checked out the MAX I highly recommend you do! It is currently housing studios for some of Marion County’s most talented artist including @misternieves , @melfiorentinostudios , and @drake_arnold_art 🖼 🎨 ✌🏻❤️📸
