  • I did a thing this week. 😎 It’s a really nerdy thing 💁🏻‍♀️ It’s called “take lots of slow shutter images through the dirty windshield of train blasting through town and then digitally squish them all together to form a composite that actually shows both South Main Street and the rushing train... at. the. same. time” 🤩 I’m sure there is a technical name for it, but I really had no idea if what I was doing was going to work and I’m so so excited with how it turned out 🤗 Watch out world, Sarah has another cool photo technique to over-use 😅😋🤓 #myhutchweekly2019

  • The @uprr Big Boy No. 4014 rolled through Lawrence today!
132 feet long and weighing in at 1.2 million pounds, this beast was originally commissioned in 1941 and traveled over 1 million miles in it’s 20 years on the tracks.  Retired in 1961, it has recently been brought back into service to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad. Hundreds, if not thousands, of Lawrencian’s made their way to the train depot this morning to watch this piece of American history chug through! 🚂
