Thank goodness Deep State IPA is still on tap—the perfect beer for some light weekend reading.
Did you know we participate in @henhousebrewing’s #ConspiracyTheory program: a fresh batch of IPAs every week, named for a different conspiracy theory. Kubrick’s Landing is on deck.

LOOSEN UP YOUR LOW BACK
Does your low back just feel stiff? There are obviously a lot of potential sources, but if you’re pain free and just generally feel stiff, the “iron cross” exercise is a great go-to for loosening things up.
This movement is a compound, multi-joint rotation, acting on your mid and lower spine, pelvis and hips. One of the things I like most about it is how decompressed my low back feels afterwards.
Give it a try and see how you feel.
Tips on form:
1️⃣ Lay on your back and straighten your arms out so your body looks like the letter “T”.
2️⃣ Attempt to swing your leg over to reach the opposite hand. You may not get there, but it’s an important target to line everything up.
3️⃣ Pause at the end and repeat 10-15 times per side.
What gets you up in the morning?
What gets you going?
There has been so much change over this past year and honestly I’m pretty overwhelmed by it most days. I’ve found relief in creative efforts and try to keep that my focus, but sometimes it’s hard to be motivated. •
It’s the weekend. You deserve ice cream - especially one that you can load up with ALL the toppings! Whether it’s Matcha Thai Tea (aka the TEAs Me) or the Ferrari (almond, Nutella, and chocolate waffle bits), Icicles’ gotchu at any of their 13 locations.🍦 Thank you for having me, @icicles_icecreamroll! It was the perfect way to cool down on a hot day! ☀️
This produce store is a treasure for locals and stocks so many farm-fresh goodies. It’s worth a trip up the hill for @templecoffee, freshly baked scones the size of a handbag, just-laid eggs, and beautiful veg. The deli is fantastic for packing up a picnic lunch before heading out to an orchard or hike.

John Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid is all about love, but is far from a simple, boy-meets-mermaid happily-ever-after. Neumeier chose Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale because of its “very particular concept of love,” he says. “Love that is so strong that it can overcome boundaries, that it can transport her to new worlds.” Onstage through April 28, link in bio for more information and tickets.

Hans Christian Andersen had a history of falling in love with women and a few men as well. The Little Mermaid’s tale of unrequited love could well be his own; shortly before he wrote it, he had suffered greatly at the marriage of Edvard Collin “Andersen’s disappointment is the jumping-off point for The Little Mermaid,” says choreographer John Neumeier, who added the character of “the Poet” to his ballet. “The story teaches us … that no matter how strong our love may be, it doesn’t obligate the object of our love to love us in return.” The Little Mermaid is onstage through April 28, link in bio for more information and tickets.

The poignancy of John Neumeier’s retelling of The Little Mermaid comes from his exploration of the darker, tragic elements of the fairy tale. The Mermaid’s love for the Prince “may seem to be self-destructive,” says Neumeier, “because the Mermaid re-creates herself at the cost of extreme personal pain.” Onstage through April 28, link in bio for more information and tickets.
