I might not be there but on this day I wanna say how proud I’m of my country. India is one of the least wasteful economies♻️. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
India has also emerged as a key player in shaping the Paris Agreement (Climate Change) and has shown great leadership in meeting the Sustainable Development Goals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our culture has always valued sustainable way of living. 🌿 The “yogic principle of aparigraha” means keeping only what is necessary at a certain stage of life.
Yoga and Ayurveda are perhaps the most known holistic ways of Indian living.
We sell off newspapers, furniture, books to be reused and recycled and look down upon wasting food. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I understand that with rising population and depleting resources its as challenging as ever but I’m sure that this 30,000 years old country with all its learnings will find a path for sustainable development.♻️ #jaihind
