Acro tips:
Base: from Chair once the flyer’s in the position, bring your legs forward to shift the weight into your hand. Make sure to be ready to catch with your feet/legs to help with the down. 
Flyer: make sure to stay engaged your reverse hand-to-hand. As well as engage your core so you don’t drop your hips. 
Make sure to use the spot standing behind the flyer, hands on the hips ready to catch it coming down.

It’s one thing asking someone to help stretch you. It’s another working with someone to improve your flexibility, strength & mobility.

The most important thing when stretching with somebody is getting feedback.

You NEVER want to push through pain. You want to be able to feel either slight burning or stretch sensation & it should feel right. 👌. Always tell people to back off if something feels wrong remembering that some stretches work better for others.

Base: start from two high and Connect with the hand-to-hand grip and the other hand with a foot-to-hand in Grip. Make sure to Squeeze in with arm and keep elbows straight.
Flyer: Pour weight into the foot as if you are doing a pistons squat. Make sure to keep the other arm squeezed in and stacked over your base.

I’ve been battling with a dislocated pelvis & lower back issues. I went down hard last week; I was told not to compete, not to train, not to do anything strenuous for a minimum of a week.

CrossFit is my therapy. My box mates are my family. It is in the middle of the suck that I find my strength. When I loose that ability, I loose a big part of me. Where was I in the last part of the week? Down. Bummed. Disappointed in myself. Lost. Praying.
.

.
I prayed for God to hold me together, to let me get through this competition. I refused to back down from competing & my partner refused to replace me unless I did it myself. So yesterday, I went. We fought together, we pushed through, and we conquered! (With a lot of Ice packs, tens unit use, & rest in between of course. )

I am so ever grateful for my #FitFam my #crossfit517 family, my amazing partner... And most of all, an Amazing GOD who heals, who strengthens, who watches over us day in and day out & will never let us fall! So on this day, remember - #heisrisen and together we are raised up with Him! .
