Driving the @Jeep Wrangler this week was A DREAM #ad#JeepAmbassador
- Turning up the volume to ridiculous levels and singing at the top of our lungs 🎵
- Spontaneous road trips just for the joy of driving 🚗
- Packing in as many pumpkins as possible 🎃
- Taking this beast on the beach and watching the sunset because WE CAN! 🌅
I’d say we took good care of it this week, but frankly the #JeepWranger took care of us. 😜
...also side note — I don’t know what was up with this but now we seemingly have a ton of new friends… and everyone needed rides places, like, specifically in the Jeep??? Idk plz help 📸 @bradyabates

I went in planning to show restraint and only eat half; next thing you know my plate was licked clean. This is a new vegan diner in SW Portland. The burrito with beans, rice and tofu scramble smothered in red and cheez sauce was amazing! Try it! @vertical_diner_pdx#vegan#pdx#veganpdx#swpdx#veganbreakfast

Honestly, not sure what compels me to this kind of behavior, but here it is nonetheless.
G Love - 1615 NW 21st Ave ————————————————
Post 1/3: G Love always looked busy when walking past, and we’ve seen it on A couple of ‘upcoming restaurant’ lists, so we decided to see what all the fuss was about. As you walk in, it’s a trendy restaurant with low lighting and an open kitchen- it’s obvious that the Chef has a keen eye to detail- even down to the interior of the toilets (walls covered in leaves, another in glitter!) First looking at the menu I thought it was vegetarian (and had a mini heart attack) but with a closer look, I realised that all of the meat come as ‘sides’. We were served by Kelsey, who advised us 3-4 plates each would be a good place to start, and eat like tapas. The service was attentive, super helpful and very knowledgeable when it came to the food menu and all of the drinks. The cocktail (shown) was advised due to wanting something sweet and easy to drink, she knew exactly what to recommend. #foodie#foodblog#portlandrestaurants#foodporn#pdx#portlandfood#foodreview#wheretoeat#get_cooked
You already know that I’m a @normandiepdx fan, so I was pretty thrilled to hear that they are a part of the Portland #CognacCrawl with @cognacusa 🥃 They’re serving up a refreshing cognac drink called “Just Another Corpse Reviver,” made with Cognac VS, Calvados, Dolin Blanc, Macadamia nut milk, orgeat & cardamom bitters 😋 For the whole month of October, you can grab a passport for $30 which gets you 6 cognac cocktails at several of Portland’s best bars. Plus the proceeds go to benefit @pdxstonesoup! Head to the link in my bio & grab yours 📲

But the snow fell, and all the writing blurred:
Now, the snow gone, we read it as we pass,— The wind’s word in the grass.” —Lizette Woodworth Reese

Because they will all be gone before you know it! 🍁🍂 I appreciate how much longer fall colors last on the west coast. Minnesota gets so cold so fast the autumn colors can get cut short. It is already wet here though!

Certified Copy, directed by Abbas Kiarostami, screens Friday, October 25 at the Whitsell Auditorium. 7 pm.⠀
A late-career masterpiece that returned Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami to the world stage, Certified Copy is a shape-shifting film starring Juliette Binoche (who won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her role) and William Shimell (a British opera singer) as a very unique kind of couple. A writer (Shimell) is in Tuscany to promote his new book, and an unnamed woman (Binoche) is there with her son to have copies of the book signed. This doesn’t work as planned, and the two later meet up and begin a wide-ranging dialogue about life, art, marriage, parenthood, truth, lies, and facsimile. As the nature of their relationship oscillates between clear and unclear, Kiarostami prods us to engage with notions of cinematic truth and the ways in which we represent ourselves in differing contexts.⠀
