  • When will we stop judging the size of our bodies on how healthy we are? ⁣⁣

People push for a six pack, a lean body, and popping defined muscles because it’s believed if we have those things we are “health”. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
What we don’t think about is the mindset that this aesthetic look may bring up, the pressures one may feel to obtain this look, the negative thought patterns, the unhealthy relationships whether with food or people. We don’t think about the internal health problems that may be occurring; hormonal imbalances, unknown hunger cues, creation of food intolerances, unstable moods. ⁣⁣

It’s time to start believing you are enough just as you are. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You are healthy without this aesthetic look. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You are healthy if you only get to the gym 2x a week, or maybe you don’t go at all but you are active. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You are healthy if you enjoy a freshly baked cookie for breakfast, but enjoy nutrient dense foods the majority of your day. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You are healthy if you tell yourself how much you love yourself, your body, and you positively affirm yourself every dang day even though you don’t look like the girl/guy on your social media page. ⁣⁣

You are enough, and you can be healthy six pack or not.

  • No Smiles, No Filters, & A Bad Day

I haven’t shared a post like this because it doesn’t show my cheerful side that I like, but not every day is sunny.

On this particular day, I was stressed the hell out! My body wasn’t feeling the best (still don’t know what’s wrong) and I felt like throwing in the towel.

How can I start a business in personal training, when my health was suddenly ruining my workouts, causing bloating, and I was constantly in discomfort or pain?

I couldn’t eat enough, workout hard enough, & I imagined myself going back to my old weight! I imagined the worst possible scenario before realizing I needed to take back control.

I took off my glasses and I took the pic as a reminder of how I felt. I then asked myself if I was really willing to give up after I finally found my passion in life and I’m finally in shape?

The answer was HELL NO! Even though I didn’t feel my best, I chose not to give up, and chose to continue working my hardest. My body is not getting in my way either!

Since then, my health has actually been improving enough to complete my entire workouts and I am feeling optimistic that it’ll be resolved soon.

Keep pushing, never quit, and don’t let anything stand in your way. You’ve got this!
