Still can't believe I jumped along with the top 2 skydivers in the world! Like who does flat perfect splits in the sky??? No one but these 2 awesome ladies @therealfelixcane & @melissalissie! Thanks Mr Tandem Master for keeping me alive and making this possible! Also for putting up with the world's loudest screams! 🤭
The family had a fantastic Easter weekend in Augusta at the Turner Caravan Park. A lot of sight seeing and the kids made a lot of friends around the camp grounds. The adults had fun making a shantytown with tents, Marquee’s and cable ties. 🏕 🔥 🍻
FITTING IN 🇨🇳 🇻🇳 🇦🇺 Following the previous post re my identity confusion. I am glad to call Australia my home. There’s no other places that is more multicultural than this country!
From time to time, I do find myself struggling to fit in a specific culture. Am I Chinese, Vietnamese or Australian? The joke is that I’ll be whatever that suit me at the time 😂
Honestly, it is confusing for me. When I am in Australia I find that Western people are generally polite with me at the initial conversation (not sure if they’re thinking I might not speak English or broken English -Fresh off the boat maybe) but once I open my mouth I am no longer regarded as their ‘Asian’ friend or that ‘Asian Lady’ Especially these friends of mine @swags1369 and @gembee21 🤪Except when we talk about food and money 😆
When I am in Asia I am regarded as a Western person and this is recognised through the way I speak and my mannerisms. Yes, even when I speak fluent Vietnamese and Chinese (they know...🙄)
Through this confusion, I learnt that we all speak the same language. “Smile, Respect and Kindness”. These are the foundation to get on with all people and to get through life!
