My friend gave me some poster paint! :D It was a really late christmas present lol. Based on the Philippine flag
(4 of 4) The modern National Flag of the Philippines. It is a horizontal flag bicolor with equal bands of royal blue and scarlet, and with a white, equilateral triangle at the hoist. In the center of the triangle is a golden-yellow sun with eight primary rays, each representing a Philippine province. At each vertex of the triangle is a five-pointed, golden-yellow star, each of which representing one of the country's three main island groups; Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the central star originally referred to Panay. #PhilippineFlag#EvolutionOfThePhilippineFlag#KnowHistory#REVOLT#TheREVOLTOsComing#KampeonCo
This is the most shameful and disrespectful you did to our Philippine Flag..... @jayrmallari#philippineflag#philippines . Nasaan ang pagiging Filipino mo kabayan Kung di mo kayang igalang at pahalagaan ang isang Telang nag sisimbolo bilang isang Filipino.
I have been going full speed on the #elisemadeworldflagproject , with 67 completed flags and another 11 waiting for embroidery and finishing. Here’s a recent batch of completed countries: Philippines, Vietnam, Cyprus, Honduras, Azerbaijan, and Venezuela. 🌍
When I decided to take on this project in full force, I gave myself the boundary of making the flags of the 195 countries of the world. I printed out a list and took off categorizing similar designs and making them. The list is long enough to be distracting, but then all of a sudden I would look at it and think things like, where is Taiwan? Shouldn’t that be on the list?
Last night I got the suggestion of making the flag for Antarctica. I immediately thought, “Nope, not a country!” But after thinking about it deeper, it made me think about Taiwan. And Puerto Rico. And Greenland. And all the others. So now I have a multi-faceted dilemma: do I continue with my plan to only make flags of world countries, or do I also include territories and dependencies? Would I make only those with unique flag designs or every single flag, even if it’s a duplicate from the governing country?
I’m hosting a poll in my stories where you can cast your vote or let me know in the comments what you think! #elisemade#worldflags#knitting#diversknitty#coolknitsforeveryone
