Positive Vibes 🍁
Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones.
I remember looking at this picture right after my photo shoot, thinking: “I really like this picture but I just look so angry. There’s no way I can post this”.
I thought I would lose ‘followers’ and people wouldn’t want to train because of my expression. Then I tried to looked at it from another perspective. I tried to remember how I felt the day of the shoot. I felt confident. I felt proud. I felt like myself. I also couldn’t believe That me and @ncoskyphoto were the only ones on Acorn Street taking a photo 😂 It’s a good practice when looking at yourself from a month, a year or 10 years ago to think about where you were in your life, and how you were feeling about yourself during that time.
I was recently talking to a friend of mine and he was saying how he really likes moving around to different places and living there for periods of time because he uses this as a way to gauge times in his life. It made me think about the 6 apartments I’ve lived at in Boston, and I can break down my life and what was going on by each of those apartments. You can do the same thing with photos. Look back. Remember those moments. Remember how you felt, what you were doing, how you were feeling. It’s actually a really cool practice because you realize each of those moments in time brought you to where you are today.
