#latepost day 5: went to #Phuketelephantsanctuary And I was crying before we even got to see the elephants 🤦🏻♀️ they showed us a documentary on how this ethical sanctuary started and the story of some of the elephants they have. These beautiful ladies were rescued from logging/trekking/ and or shows where they were abused, starved, broken, and used for profit. Here they bond with a mahout who will be their forever new keeper. All the elephants are given new names when they arrive and are no longer forced to do activities other than that which is normal to an elephant. They slowly but surely are reintroduce back into jungle life by being shown how to find food and live free. However, because they were raised with humans, they’ll never be able to be truly free as they’ll find their way back to people, so they will remain at the sanctuary for the rest of their days. There are nine elephants now with the plan on saving 4 more soon. Please do your research and know that elephants are not meant to be in circuses, or to be ridden. Truly a wonderful day spent with my favorite animals ♥️ #savetheelephants#iloveelephants#thailand#phuket
What a great way to start the day....
Happy Friday! #fbf
I learned Reiki, because I knew it was a better process to heal yourself emotionally and physically. The goal was to only practice on my family and friends, life happened as it does and I put it down. Traveling alone, I have ME time and I starting my mornings with it, first DRY BATHING and then SELF HEALING. It's done wonders for slowing me down...Bangkok was fast pace, a absolute high and I was in my whole element. But you can't live on adrenaline, it's a remedy for burn out. Here what it looks like....
I sped the practice up so you can see it from beginning to end..
Kenyoku means Dry Bathing:
It's like smudging with sage, it clearing all unwanted energy, cleaning the aura. Set your intention!!! You give thanks before and after, this is called Gassho. I breath 3 deep cleansing and keep the feeling of graduate through each position.
Self Healing. ..
Quick explanation...Start/End with Gassho ( prayer hand position I do before and after), taking 3 cleansing breathing between each position...
When I Touch My
-Temples I thank God, for peace of mind
-Eyes I thank God for my sight. -.Ears, I'll thank God and ask for the ability to hear Her/His voice clearer..
- Throat, I pray to soften my tongue
- Head (from front to back), I ask to be fortified..
-Crest, I'm grateful for my lungs
-Heart, let my heart remain/stay open no it matter my lifes conditions,
-Navel, Let me make heath choices about what I feed myself
-Sacral area and my prayer is to find the person God has for me (why not 💁🏿♀️). Continues down the body with graduate.
It's about your intention and feelings good..
. Enjoy 💋
Or you keep it easy & say the following,
Just for today, I will let go of anger
Just for today, I will let go of worry,
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings,
Just for today, I will do my work honestly,
Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbour and every living thing. #selfcare#thialand#phuket#thesablecollective#locsbyduafe
#SceneTravel : LOVE IS THE ANSWER IN PHUKET
“My husband and I never officially went on honeymoon. After the inevitable craziness of the wedding, I didn’t feel there was time for an imposed romantic frolic. In the intervening decade, however, we have been on more awesome adventures than I can count - I just didn’t account for having two kids in tow. But what we haven’t done, this whole time, not once, is a romantic getaway. So the siren call of Emirates Holidays proposing we get whisked away to Phuket was impossible to resist. The airline now has a direct Cairo-Dubai-Phuket route, making it an easy-to-get-to dreamy destination for Egyptian honeymooners…or those looking to rekindle their passion.”
With a new direct flight from Dubai to Phuket, @Emirates Holidays invites our harried CEO @AmyMowafi to switch to airplane mode and escape on a romantic getaway to #Phuket , #Thailand with her long-suffering husband.
Head to LINK IN BIO for the full article, live vicariously through her and say “aww, that’s kinda cute” a lot.
In June 2016 I took myself on my first solo holiday to @phuketcleanse
I wasn’t in a particularly great place, I was unhappy, unhealthy, I had very low self-esteem and zero confidence and was basically lost. I got up every morning for sunrise to go paddle boarding, I did yoga, hiking, Muay Thai and meditation. And the best thing I turned my phone off for the whole time I was there. I believe going to Thailand and taking that time out for myself set me on a journey of a self discovery that I’ve been on ever since. I’m the happiest and most confident I’ve been in my whole life. I constantly push myself to do the things that scare and challenge me the most, and it’s true what they say. Nothing is ever gained inside your comfort zone. So what I’m saying is if you’re feeling a bit lost don’t be afraid to take some time out on your own, do the thing that scares you the most like going for a job or telling someone how you really feel because you will gain so much. I also met a really special person who told me I was strong when I thought I was at my weakest @maike_mancuso_coaching
I haven’t got everything figured out yet but that’s part of the adventure. 😀 #thailand#phuket#phuketcleanse#soletravel#findyourpurpose#findyourstrength
🌴Banana beach -
