We cannot dictate the accuracy and severity of the situations we face on a daily basis but we can control the way how our feedback will be and I am left dazzled and amazed how the simplest things, like breathing, leads to life’s greatest breakthroughs.

  • In the past months, I've met and seen people who swear by Intermittent Fasting, insisting it's the only reason for their weight loss progress. While I don't deny the benefits of IF, saying it directly melts fat is incorrect and bordering on misinformation. 
I'm no expert but what I do have is years of experience, 3 to be exact, and after all those years, I can confidently say that IF does not directly impact fat loss, it is merely a tool for managing your calories. Fasting 12-16 hours but eating the same amount of calories in a day will not make a difference. It's not the fasting that made you lose weight, it's the fact that you skipped meals (aka consuming less calories total in the day) that did. 
This is what usually happens with fads in the fitness world (see IF and Keto as examples these past years). Something blows up and we suddenly want to do it without doing research first as we are looking for that "easy way out". Like what I always say, it is better to educate ourselves rather than wait to be spoon fed by some "expert". Remember the 3 E's. EDUCATE yourself, EXPERIENCE it for yourself, and ENJOY the fruits of your hard work.
