🗣I don’t know who needs to hear this but, YOU CAN RELAX YOUR HAIR IF YOU WANT TO. .
We find more and more women are guilted or pressured
into #goingnatural when the maintenance simply just does not work for their time or desired aesthetic. .
There are a host of reasons why you should keep or relax your hair if you want to.
1. It’s your life. and time. and none of the people guilting you about being “natural” will spend the hours needed doing your hair for you.
2. Natural hair doesn’t mean healthy. Many naturals still have damaged or thinning hair due to lack of maintenance, genetics, and protective style/ braid tension.
3. True hair acceptance and inclusion is about choosing what you like and having the freedom -without judgment or alienation- to express yourself. This wasn’t reserved for “naturals only”.
4. Hair replaces itself. You can always choose to be natural at a time in life when it’s more aligned with your lifestyle, time and needs. .
