❀ A lot of people have been asking me how I make my polaroids. I looked up something like “polaroid, high res” and then found one I liked with a solid background. I then used the app MagicEraser to make everything transparent. Using procreate, I fit my photo in the frame and that’s it! .

  • I just had the craziest night last night. I had a deadline at midnight & had so much to do. I was literally shaking when I submitted my paper because the research session was so intense. Still made it thoooo !! My next two deadlines are this Wednesday and the week after that I have my first exam ... when am I going to find time to study? 😰 Are your deadlines also this stressful?

  • Whether you seek fame or fortune, love or longevity, or something else entirely, there are ways to find the knowledge. But then it must be applied. The willingness may be present, but what is actually done?

Without action, without actually applying our knowledge and doing what must be done, we have nothing. I find it hard to imagine any of us have nothing in that category, right? We all have something to finish.

I believe this quote can be applied to any part of our lives where we are hesitating. Do we not have enough knowledge? Are we not prepared to apply our knowledge to the task? Are we willing to do what is necessary? Even if all of these are answered “Yes,” we still must take action.

For me, there is far more fun in the planning than in the doing. Yes, there are things I like to do, but most of the things I plan are just mental exercise. Take a moment and think about some of the things you haven’t done, and consider why you stopped.

Also, hi, I'm back. I'm going to be frank. This past month has been shit. I'm not going to bore you with why... but at the end of it all, I came to the point where I said (excuse my language) "fuck it." and honestly? It's been the most liberating feeling. From this point on I'm going to be unapologetically me, all while stopping the self deprecation.⠀

The shop has been closed for a week or so, just so I could collect myself. We're planning on re-opening next Tuesday for $2 Tuesday! We have some fun new goodies planned! So stay tuuuunedddd! 💛

  • We always act in accordance with who we believe we are, which is why your self image is SO important, and SO powerful. Whether we realise this or not, we ALL carry around a ‘mental blueprint’ of ourselves, our beliefs about “the sort of person I am”. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Once we have an idea about ourselves that goes into this mental blueprint, it becomes our truth- we do not question its validity. We act in line with this self-image: our actions, behaviours, and results are ALWAYS in alignment with our self-image. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Many of my clients believe that they are “just procrastinators” or “ just not good at X”-- without even realising that these are simply BELIEFS that they’ve encoded into part of their self-image, and of course, are going to continue the cycle of procrastinating and not achieving things, which further gives evidence to this supposed ‘truth’. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Reflecting and bringing awareness (i.e. observing ourselves, without judgement) is the first step to being able to expand our self-image. ACTION STEP: Journal about who you believe you are-- what do you believe about yourself and your abilities? What do you tell yourself and others about ‘the type of person you are?
