i see your soul sparkle
in your eyes
everytime i see you smile,
i'm in love with every bit of you
with of all mine,
this heart will forever beat
for you and will keep you safe
away from all the things
that try to hurt you in any way #evenfallpoetry@evenfallpoetry
everything makes sense
after you have come into my life
i'm in love with the feeling
that makes me want you more,
your thoughts always strikes me
whether it's the day or night,
you are always on my mind #prabhumnair@evenfallpoetry

The first time we met
I'm no good
the first time we kissed
too many people have left
you don't add to the list
the first time i cried in front of you
and i'm here to stay
you weren't the first one
to make such a futile promise
there were many before you —
my father, who never returned from the battlefield
my mother, who left me at the gate of the orphanage.
i have forgiven them now
because i understand they didn't have a choice —
one a soldier, the other a farmer
both died for the nation that doesn't even mourn them.
but some had a choice —
like the boy who bullied me for having no parents,
like that group of girls who laughed at my anorexia,
like the friends who couldn't tolerate being around someone as weak as me.
you too had a choice.
of staying or of leaving.
you promised me you'd never leave, so that's exactly what you did.
because promises are meant to be broken
because you don't tell people that you will stay
you prove it
because there is something i have learnt
from all those people
who left me
and those who didn't:
if you ever have to question their loyalty,
they are not loyal.
if you ever have to contemplate what you mean to them, you mean nothing.
and if you ever have to ask a person to stay,
you should really just let them go.
(unless it is your father going to war)
(unless it is your mother crying terribly and saying she'd come back)
so i did what my father asked me to do
sixteen years ago,
and what my mother expected of me
fourteen years ago:
i let you go.

I have written this poem in order to make you think on. This challenge says to put out your secrets but I don't think secrets should be told even if it is a challenge but I have secretly inserted my secret in this poem. One can think and find out otherwise leave it as a secret only but there is one of them. This will sound a little tricky to you but you can try. Am I giving you the second challenge? Haha! it is your wish to decode it. (One of the challenges in a writer's community)

"The stench seeps through the skin.
A successfully eventful night evident based on the colour of my face.
The story of the session can be read cover to cover in my petrified eyes.
The Fear." @craig_writes
You know sometimes people ask me if I've moved on
And they want to know my story
But moving on is not easy or forgetting those memories is not that simple
Loving them was our habit so I'll compare one habit with LOVE
Smoking kills you ... And so does incomplete stories and beautiful memories
So when you start smoking you don't just stop smoking and live your life
The same way you don't move on from someone just like that
For example if you smoke 10 cigarettes per day then you cut it down to 2 or 1
The same way if you think about them 10 times per day try to cut it down to one
Then eventually over a period of time you smoke one per week then one per month then you realise that you are out of that habit and it doesn't kill you like before.
One cigarette in one month isn't a habit it is not that bad
I've moved on .. I don't think about you much .. maybe once per week
You're not killing me and I have moved on but I do enjoy thinking about you every now and then
I hope this answers your question about HOW TO MOVE ON ?
It doesn't happen overnight , it takes time ... Just like you quit smoking
P.S : I don't smoke -@wewake.poetry
