Reunited in Washington County, TX!
"One night during a lightening storm this dog showed up in the middle of our 15 acre crossed fenced property dancing around, wagging his tail trying to get in. I thought it was my dog who I had just put in the house but soon realized it was a stray.
I opened the gate and he ran to the front door. He was trembling and whining as if he feared the storm. We had terrible thunderstorms for several days. He was completely dry so we think he was hiding in our barn close to the house. We let him in the house, gave him water and let him sleep inside due to the weather and we live near a very busy road and didn’t want him wandering out to it.
I took him to the vet the following morning in a torrential storm to see if he had a chip and he did not. He had a collar with no tags also. We posted his pictures on several sites including PawBoost, Washington County Missing Pets and unlike your site it took another 24 hours to get accepted into their group to post.
As soon as Washington County Missing Pets accepted me, I posted his picture and within 30 minutes of posting his owner messaged me. They were reunited that same morning. Beaux lives 5 miles from our house. I do recommend PawBoost because this lost pet got several views and shares. Thank you PawBoost for helping Beaux find his family!"
Spread the good news! Thank you to everyone who shared Beaux's alert. Getting the word out is key because you never know who might see your post or flyer :)
I cherish our hikes together, a Friday evening spent doing the only thing that makes sense. Running thru the forest, following his nose, connected to what’s most natural in his world. What his nose smells I can only imagine, but it’s so fun to watch that invisible string pull him thru time and space. The thrill when we hear a Grouse drumming, the excitement of the hunt & the flush... And his eyes saying “I told you it was this way, thanks for trusting me!” Bird Dog thru and thru! May 24th, 2019
Duke of Alabama is slowly recovering from his food binge the other day – his “food baby bell” is going away LOL! According to his foster Mom Allison he’s doing well with “sitting” and is fully kennel trained. This is his super sweet face when Allison told him she would be home for four days this weekend!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone – be safe!
