I teach argument at OSU and the first thing I teach about is fallacies (errors in reasoning). Errors in reasoning are hard to spot because usually they appeal to what our ears want to hear. Arguments that are filled with fallacies nudge and push you in a certain direction little by little to get our foundation of sound reasoning out from under our feet and to ultimately persuade about something. Learning about argument and fallacies has given me knowledge to stand secure on the word of God 💕
I’ve noticed that we have a lot of errors in reasoning being taught lately revolving around discerning of God’s voice, and I’ve been feeling the need to share some of the basic knowledge of how to understand God’s voice and how to spot the errors. These are things we should be teaching kids but sadly we’re having to teach Christian adults, Christian speakers and even some Christian leaders the basics to understanding God’s voice and how to spot the fallacies. Comment 🍭🍭🍭 if you think I should write a little book about it? :-) “There are some things in them” (Paul’s letters aka scriptures) “that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.”

The future is ours. And I love thinking about that😍
I recently had the privilege of photographing an amazing group of people, The Center of Excellence for Advanced Technology Aerial Firefighting. They do some awesome things with drones, small ones like the one Ben is holding, and huge 8 blade drones. I'd go into more detail, but my brain tells me not to even try lol #riflecolorado#CenterofExcellence
