Your Monday reminder that when you thought you couldn’t keep going, you did. When you thought it would never get better, it did. When you thought you couldn’t survive it, you did. And you will again. It will get better. You got this. 💗
It's all my fault.
For every bad outcome, for every not so great decision, for every late email, failed relationship, financial blunder, underwhelming event, and unfulfilling venture. I made the decisions that led to them. I chose the wrong people. I didn't look into the details deeply enough. I didn't fully consider the consequences. Sometimes, I was just unlucky. BUT I am responsible for the choices I made and will make in my life.
Every situation I find myself in, is one of my own making and to acknowledge that is one of the very first things one MUST do in order to CHANGE said situation. -
Granted there are some things we do not choose. Childhood traumas, poverty, illnesses, etc.. HOWEVER, that's not a "get out of jail free" card. It's just your circumstances and YOU have to ability to choose to change them or to use them as an excuse.
So, for me, acknowledging I had chosen to marry someone I wasn't head over heels in love with, someone I chose to marry out of obligation, was a situation of my own making and it was up to ME to get out of it.
Me acknowledging that I had created a story about my body, that I was damaged and incapable of having a normal relationship with food and that I would always struggle, was a situation of my own design. Accepting that I had created the situation gave me the confidence that I could also change it.
There are more situations I'm working on. Things I have created that I want to change.
You can change it, but you have to own it first.
🎄🌟 Festive Feelgood Tip No 1 🌟🎄 Writing a list 🖌will make things much easier and is so simple. This is a time when we are rushing around, thinking about so many different things - food to order, jobs to do, presents to buy, people to visit, etc, etc, - that it can seem overwhelming and we end up going round in circles getting nothing done and leaving things to the last minute! 😳😒 By starting now and listing the jobs that need to be done each week, you will feel so much more in control and that can only be a good thing! 🙌 At this time of year shopping can be a nightmare, so to avoid wandering around those shops aimlessly why not make a separate list for presents? This will help you avoid overspending and stay within your budget 🌟😊🙏 Hope that helps,
