  • Aqui estou eu aguardando a consulta de mais um.pré natal, mas fico tão aliviada quando deixo a casinha assim:  limpinha, cheirosa e organizada 🙌
Nossa como.o tempo.está passando rápido, parece que foi ontem que fui para minha primeira consulta, agora faltam 3 a 4 para enfim correr para maternidade e ter meu filho em.meus braços pela primeira vez...a ansiedade já está me consumindo, 😂😭
Vocês mamães ficavam ansiosas também na reta final?

Вот, все вокруг не замечали сильного изменения физического... а я очень переживала...
Буду откровенно рассказывать,- это жизнь!
В первую беременность я набрала 17 кг 🔥🔥🔥, Во вторую- 30 😫🥴🥴, А в третью 19 🤷‍♀️.
В начале беременности я вообще не отказывала себе ни в чем, но начиная с 6 Месяца, ограничила сладкое, мучное, старалась вечером держаться.
Из спорта был только бассейн. 
Но моя профессия очень энергозатратна, поэтому 1 концерт, как три тренировки. 
А последний выездной концерт вообще был за 10 дней до родов. 🙄
Беременность- не болезнь, а счастливое и активное время! 
Которое я пережила!❤️❤️❤️

What is it?⁠

It is a hormone released during pregnancy from 12 weeks onwards.⁠

What does it do?⁠
⁠
It relaxes the ligaments of the pelvis and allows the joint surfaces to separate to accommodate the growing baby during pregnancy.⁠
⁠
Why do I need to be aware of this during exercise?⁠
⁠
It is important to be aware that Relaxin can cause joint laxity on ligaments and fibrous tissue anywhere in the body, not only the pelvis. This means that you have greater range of movement and extra care needs to be taken with exercise movements and stretching to avoid injuring the back, hip joints, knees and ankles.⁠

Why do our FIT members need to know this?⁠
⁠
Many of you are mothers who have returned to exercise after giving birth, the hormone Relaxin stays within the body and can take 6 months to return to normal levels. Therefore, we advise you to be mindful of your increased range of movement when performing exercises during our sessions and where necessary choose the lower intensity variations of the programmed exercises. Such as, Squats rather than Squat jumps.⁠

Pada tanggal 17 Agustus (hari Sabtu), walaupun "kalender merah", Prenatal Yoga tetap berjalan seperti biasanya. 
Juga, mulai tanggal 24 Agustus, pelaksanaan Prenatal Yoga (setiap hari Sabtu) akan diselenggarakan sebanyak 2 SESI DALAM SATU HARI.

Jadi, Bunda tidak perlu khawatir jika kehabisan kuota di Sesi I. Bunda tetap bisa ikut di Sesi II.

  • some wishes feel like a tall order

When we found these big fat wishers on a jog, I wished for the ability to help // hold space for a safe birth with a happy outcome for my best friend. @casieinthesunshine cast her wish and we sent them into the wind. I remember mine being a bit tricky and more spluttery than cute. 😂

Both came true!! It is a powerful thing to know what you wish for & to share it out loud with someone you love. A birth plan is a list of wishes or desires for one’s birth journey and although it is important to have an open mind, it is a beautiful connective thing to feel out and discuss AHEAD of time what those desires are, for momma to be, partner, family, friends, + medical professionals. You can discuss all things from lighting/music preferences to medication and surgical stances, from who is present to what kind of positions/ massage techniques/ essential oils you want to try. We can begin to manifest while respecting that life has it’s own flow. This plan is then typed + printed (or hand penned) and given to the doctors and nurses. Part of the role of doula is to dig into these thoughts/dreams/fears/hopes ahead of time. Working in events, we think about what we plan for months and months in prep. And then you arrive on site and the reality is rolling with what IS. Not clinging to the plan, but using it as a foundation to show up for what is needed.

A prenatal doctor that @fisch_face and I saw brought up the idea of reframing this process a Birth Wishlist, rather than a plan. That way you don’t go off course or stray from the “plan” but always flow with what’s happening while staying oriented to your wishes. 
I also feel this translates to ALL types of plans. So let’s make big wishes, with hearts full of hope and feet grounded in earth, supporting new opportunities as new life experience with precisely what they need to feel happy and healthy.

  • Introducing our newest team member Dr Puneet Brar, Doctor of Chiropractic!

Dr Puneet is a born raised Calgarian. She graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan. Growing up playing soccer and various other sports, it only felt natural to pursue a career in chiropractic. Dr. Puneet enjoys all things health and wellness, and you will find her continuously trying to better her mind and body through nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle, and she will empower all her patients to do the same.

Dr. Puneet’s treatment approach involves a variety of chiropractic techniques, including manual adjustments, shockwave therapy, laser therapy, drop table, and instrument-assisted techniques. Her treatments also involve rehabilitation exercises, gait analysis, myofascial release, k-tape as well as athletic taping. She is also certified in medical acupuncture.

Dr. Puneet is passionate about active living and strives to keep all of her practice members in optimal health with the help of chiropractic and movement analysis. Dr. Puneet also has a special interest in perinatal and pediatric patients and strives to keep the entire family healthy no matter what stage of life they may be at.

📌PRIMEIRO TRIMESTRE:
- Hemograma: verifica se há infecção e anemia, por exemplo.
- Glicemia em jejum: avaliar se há presença de diabetes.
- Tipagem sanguínea: tipo sanguíneo e rh da grávida. Investiga possibilidades de incompatibilidade sanguínea.
- Sorologias: doenças que podem trazer riscos para mãe e bebê como HIV, Hepatite B e Sífilis (VDRL). Podem ser solicitados também, embora não obrigatórios: rubéola, toxoplasmose, hepatite c e citomegalovírus.
- Urina 1 e urocultura: detecta a presença de infecção, que pode causar parto prematuro se não tratada.
- Fezes: verifica presença de protozoários e parasitas que podem causar anemia. Não é obrigatório.
- Ultrassom: Idealmente realizado entre 11 e 13 semanas de gestação. Verifica se o bebê o número de embriões, idade gestacional e os batimentos cardíacos do feto.

    📌PRIMEIRO TRIMESTRE:
    - Hemograma: verifica se há infecção e anemia, por exemplo.
    - Glicemia em jejum: avaliar se há presença de diabetes.
    - Tipagem sanguínea: tipo sanguíneo e rh da grávida. Investiga possibilidades de incompatibilidade sanguínea.
    - Sorologias: doenças que podem trazer riscos para mãe e bebê como HIV, Hepatite B e Sífilis (VDRL). Podem ser solicitados também, embora não obrigatórios: rubéola, toxoplasmose, hepatite c e citomegalovírus.
    - Urina 1 e urocultura: detecta a presença de infecção, que pode causar parto prematuro se não tratada.
    - Fezes: verifica presença de protozoários e parasitas que podem causar anemia. Não é obrigatório.
    - Ultrassom: Idealmente realizado entre 11 e 13 semanas de gestação. Verifica se o bebê o número de embriões, idade gestacional e os batimentos cardíacos do feto.

I’ll be honest, I’ve had a major sweet tooth lately. To honor my cravings and practice intuitive eating, I’ve been making healthier versions of otherwise, sugar laden processed treats. Last week we tried a new zucchini bread recipe. This week, its these nut butter granola cookies with dark chocolate and coconut flakes. And they are SO good. recipe below!

instagram account for the day so I’ll be needing these to snack on while I’m multitasking at home with two little ladies. @my.openhaus is a collective for parents rooted in community, health, wellness and self care. I’m super excited to be featured in a fun interview in their newsletter that comes out tomorrow - with the inside scoop on my journey to motherhood, my recommendations for prenatal and postnatal health and more.

During the takeover I’ll show you a little of my day to day here at home with the girls and at work in the afternoon. tomorrow, should be fun! if you have a busy day ahead of you  tomorrow, make these cookies. you won’t regret it.

Recipe

1/2 cup unsalted, creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup unsalted, almond butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 1/2 cups rolled oats (gf)
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1 dark chocolate bar (80%), chopped
1/4 cup shredded coconut flakes

1. preheat the oven to 325°F and line a baking pan with parchment paper. set aside.

2. in a medium bowl, add the peanut butter, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract and sea salt. whisk to combine.

3. add the walnuts and oats, using a spatula to fold together until well mixed. then pour the “batter” onto the parchment paper, smooth out into an even layer.

4. bake for 30 minutes. remove and immediately place the chopped dark chocolate bar on top to melt. let cool for 20 minutes. add coconut flakes and let cool for another 10. chop into mini square cookies or eat as one big cookie.

I placed mine in the fridge to cool because I’m impatient and needed to have them NOW! so you can always try that. enjoy.

Personally I wanted to make something that was FAST ACTING and alcohol swerves as the best menstrum for that need. The dose is suggested, and you can play around with more or less as needed. I have found for myself that a single dropperful (not two) is usually enough for me in a small amount of water.
