Can’t believe that im stepping on stage in about 2 weeks. At this moment my energy level is very low and my train sessions are dramatic haha, but we dont give up and I try to push myself through it. Cant wait for the competition day but i’m also glad when its al over so I can eat normal/more, train heavy and doing things with my friends and family. During this proces I got to know for myself that friends and family are more important than working this hard for a competition day. I really love fitness because its helps me with my depression the last years and it gives me energy but spending time with your loves one is soooo much more important!!!!

J’ai traverser des périodes sombres comme beaucoup peuvent en traverser au cours de leur vie , mais à la différence de ceux qui s’apitoient sur le sort j’ai préférer garder en tête l’idée que la roue finirait par tourner. Je suis fière de dire que je peux cocher quasiment toutes les cases de ma « To do list 2019 ». Ne laissez pas vos erreurs définir la personne que vous êtes, mais surtout ne laisser jamais personne vous dire que vous n’êtes pas capable. Servez vous de votre douleur pour en faire un moteur.

Oh how sweet it is... 6 months ago I committed to a goal! That goal was to prepare for and compete in my very first physique competition. I’d seen @jenmaravillas prep for two shows and thought I had an idea about what was involved... I had no friggen clue 😂. I reached the finish line last night with my beautiful #1 fan in the crowd cheering me on all day. Babe thanks for staying behind me, picking me up when I needed it and never giving up on me! You are my muse and my greatest inspiration ❤️💪🏽... so how did I do?!? Sadly I didn’t place in either of the two classes, and I’m okay with that; because it was really apparent, that the guys who took home the hardware, have definitely been at this much longer than 6 months. So hats off to them. Also a huge thank you to my awesome coach @ni_co_lo his guidance and knowledge were pivotal in helping me get here. Thank you to my girls for dealing with many nights when I left after dinner and homework to hit the gym again. Not to mention cranky daddy is not as fun as the fed version. Thanks to all our friends for the love support and questions. All the energy and accountability pushed me through many time when it doubted or questioned myself and what I was doing. Lastly I want to share my biggest take away from this short adventure. Many times people would say “that’s all you get to eat” or “isn’t it hard to eat that...” What I’ll say is this. I’m blessed we are blesses that I / we can CHOOSE a diet that can put us in a calorie deficit, for a “show” or choose not to. The truth is, it’s a blessing because so many in this world would be grateful, for that amount of food. So I really have a new appreciation for truly enjoying the smallest treats or moments. This has been eye opening, challenging, and yes really hard and fun. I’m excited to move on the the next great challenge. #prep#gains#goals#teammaravillas
Another small way we try to save time particularly in mornings. Hubby cycles to work and is out the door at 630 so just me and the little lady. Tuesday and Thursdays are nursery days so particularly hard as need to be out the door and to the nursery by 8!! 😬
So washed and chopped fruit ready to just plonk into little ladies breakfast and lunch and my breakfast. 👍

15 weeks of hard work and im entering my 16th week of prep 💪
I have never been someone that could ever stick to a diet!!! 🥦🍳🥑🍗🥗
I never went longer than something crazy like 2 days without chocolate, cakes, biscuits or junk food 🐷 let alone a week or so without some form of pizza or McDonald's 🤦🏼♀️😂 .
I LOVE my food so the training side has been hard but ok as it was part of my routine before but this diet has been hard! Ive been incredibly lucky that its not changed too much or had anything dramatic happen throughout my 16 weeks but not snacking was hard enough of a habit to break and having to eat broccoli was tough (i NEVER used to eat green food 🥦😂) but now i dont mind it, so much so, i will be continuing to eat it and eating proper meals post show 🙌
I've said this before but the thought of the stage still is a concern for me but the whole point of this was the experience 💕 pushing myself to the next step with my training and going out of my comfort zone 🙋🏼♀️ so here we are! .
I have had the most amazing coach who has been amazing through this whole prep, putting up with me being a massive stressy worried pain in the ass 😂 @margueritavonral
So for now lets do this!!! .
And just like that the season was over.
Feeling a bit weird today. Didn’t step on the scales and I’m not checking in. It doesn’t matter how much water I drink or whether I do any cardio. It’s an odd feeling to go from having so much structure in my day to having complete freedom. Feel a little bit sad it’s over but also relieved to finally get my head back down at uni and start chipping away at my dissertation. I’ve LOVED this prep and I loved competing even more. The difference a year can make to your body, confidence and posing is insane. I owe a huge part of that to my coach!
The judges feedback was really positive yesterday. The judge I spoke to said I was in her top 6. She said she felt I was massively overlooked and my position on the stage (end of stage with 15 girls) worked against me. Was just so hard to get noticed with a full line up.
