▫️Our Stay & Play Day▫️ The love these LO’s give is so priceless.
One of my most favourite quotes of all time is.. ‘When one teaches, two learn.’ I’ve learnt so much from these cubs.
How to stay strong when things are different from what I’m use to and may seem scary. How to trust a stranger, to never give up. To see the fun in almost anything. I repeat how to NEVER give up 🤣But most importantly just to be who you are.
Children aren’t programmed with who they are when they are born. They just are. They are literally so unapologetically themselves it’s amazing.
These children change as they grow from what they hear, see, learn and feel.
If we truly thought about that each and everyday would we choose to do things a little differently?
I really do try to consciously do my best by these LOs. I sometimes have as many as 5 pairs of cubs eyes on me.
When they talk I listen. I want them to know that their voices matter. When they ask why I respond. Yes it can sometimes be hard work with so many but, when you hear them repeat the right things from their mouths like ‘it’s nice to be nice’ or ‘sharings caring’ or ‘kind hands X’ it’s soo fulfilling. Their voices matters and they know it ❤️ When I grow up I want to be just like them 🐾😊 #priceless#yourvoicematters#youmatter#childminder#childminding#candocubs#stayandplay

It properly hit me how different my life looks just now compared to just a few years ago.
Right now I would have been fighting for time off for my daughter’s half term with my colleagues who also have kids, or I would have been frantically juggling her between holiday club, friends, and grandparents.
I would still be coming home exhausted from work each evening, with very little left of “me” for my family, my passions, or even just ME.
I’d still be living for the weekend or for holidays, trying to squeeze in family time or hobbies in those times.
Instead, this week has been about lie-ins, getting my nails done, and getting back into the gym, with Evie in holiday club for half days so she gets variety, but spending some afternoons doing girly things together. It’s been about meeting friends for coffee, planning a trip to London without worrying about asking for time off, reading books that help my mindset expand, and generally doing what lights me up ✨
And this is what every week looks like now! I get to put what’s important to me first, and I place my work around that, instead of the other way around. But this week, with it being Evie’s half term, it really hit home. It’s funny how little moments can really give you perspective.
It all started with a decision that I deserved more than to just go to work, pay bills, and repeat.
And darling you’re worth so much more than that too 💜
When I was younger i wondered how it would be to take my kid on they’re first School field trip & today I got to experience that ❤️Me & mulan went to a beautiful farm with lots of activities & fun I really enjoyed myself! #priceless#fatherfirst
